Points west moved me from Kelowna to Kamloops. The price of the quote was the price I paid and it was definitely reasonable. Simon and his crew were great. All the furniture was wrapped and art was packaged. I am very happy with their service and would use again and recommend.

We used Points West Moving in Kelowna when we sold our house and moved to an apartment in February 2020. We had such good service from Dennis Gregoire and his crew that when we moved again at the end of September 2022 it was our only choice to call. Once again we cannot say enough about the quality of service. Made our recent move within Kelowna pain-free. My wife and I have no hesitation in using Points West and recommending the company to others.

Avoid this company!Broke a TV, 2 lamps, the outdoor/garden storage bin, a painting, and multiple totes were damaged and lids cracked. Dented a microwave and probably some more things will come up as we continue to unpack.They will not replace the TV because the paper they rush you through signing at the end of the day: Line 14 on the back, small print - there's a $1000 deductible.offer full replacement value insurance" is kinda b.s.*if you have signed on with them

We have moved through transfers approximately 17 times. We have never dealt with such an unprofessional moving company. We used this company out of desparation. All the well known reliable companies were not available for our dates. The rate was cheap and they say you get what you pay for. Not the case in this situation. We didn`t even get what we paid for. The owner/manager Dennis appraised the move and gave us a quote. I had read the reviews and was nervous about even using the company but Dennis and his helper Jeff assured me it would be a good and seamless experience.Trailer supplied was 48 feet not 53 feet as required for a 24,000 lbs move.Left approximately $2,000 worth of items behind. No room in trailer.2 recently purchased portable A/C units. $385. Per unit. 2 dog kennels. Have had to purchase one at our new location. $120.00. Garage storage shelving. $500. Value. Rolls of clear and black plastic. $250 roll of ground cover.Left 3 propane tanks and 3 gas containers. We were bringing them in our rented trailer but mover required 80% that room for items they couldn`t fit in moving trailer.Boxes packed too heavy. Need hand cart to move them around. Filled garment boxes with heavy shop tools instead of 2 cube boxes.50% of the boxes were not marked to show contents. Brought this to the attention of the packer and he told me why is that a problem. You have to open them all when you unpack anyway.Legs missing for patio furniture table. Taken apart by movers at top of our driveway. Either left in packing blankets or left on street where the table was taken apart. Patio furniture now incomplete.Lost special pin that holds basket ball stand together.Hole punctured through from back of framed painted. This was packed by company owner.2 remotes missing for master bedroom TV system. Remote for sound bar with cables and wiring. I disassembled unit and put all components together so this wouldn`t happen. Have sound bar remote but main T.V. and cable box remotes missing. Could be in garage unmarked box that we haven`t unpacked yet.Broke cast iron leg off garden bench.Called and left message the day our belongings were being delivered. No one called back. Jeff`s voice on recording. Made a list of issues to be given to Dennis. Never heard back.Have called Simon (driver) at least 5 times and left messages. Wanting to know if they found the missing pieces for our patio furniture when the folded the moving blackets. No call back.Brought deck umbrella`s but left bases and pole extensions.Left their personal garbage all over the place. Food containers and partially consumed drinks.Wonderful to have 8 or more people packing but no way we could make sure they were packing or leaving items upon our request. Tell one person but he didn`t convey to other workers.Had to stop before delivering our contents to fix 3 flat tires on their trailer.I have since sent an email to Dennis listing all the issues we had and asked him to call me. He emailed response:Please refer to item 11 on the reverse of your bill of lading. All claims must be made within 7 days after delivery.I made claim before the packers had even left the property the day they made the delivery.There is no recourse with a company like this. I can only hope that people do see this review and have an alternate mover to hire.

Points West completed a Kamloops to Cobble Hill BC move for us early in July 2022. Dennis (owner) actually came to the house to see what we had and provided us with a quote on the spot. He was the only moving co. person to come to our home. We had read some of the PW's negative reviews but when we asked Dennis about our concerns he was able to answer all of questions to our satisfaction. We found Dennis to be easily accessible and forthright. The truck came on time, goods were quickly assessed, furniture was taken apart, pictures were wrapped, and the 3 men doing the work were courteous, strong, and fast. PW stored our truck full of belongings in their Kelowna yard as we had a ten day wait to move into our Cobble Hill Home. The truck arrived on time with 2 workers to unload. We were ready to pay them but this was when Rogers went offline for the day and our MC would not work. Fortunately we have a VISA card which worked because without that, our possessions would not have been unloaded. The unloading process was bumpy, rough, and damaging. The workers carried items by themselves when two were needed. Tops were torn off dressers and cabinets, boxes were placed where they didn't belong, things were dropped, and people were hurt. This was not a pleasant experience and we were very happy to see the truck leave.What did we learn? there are many aspects to a move and not all of them will run smoothly. Believe Dennis - he knows his stuff. Brute force is not necessarily the best way to moving items. A mover will never be as gentle with your things as you are. Spend more time up front with the workers to ensure they understand your moving process. Have a backup plan for payment because you just never know what might happen. Remember the mover's insurance has a $5000 deductible. We won't get anywhere close to that. We also had moving insurance with our household insurance but we won't use that either. Fortunately we can fix almost all of the damage ourselves. In the end we are okay with this move - hence the 3*.

This is quite possible the most unprofessional moving company in BC. The movers were late, unprofessional, slow, unorganized, and were drinking on the job (I have photos of all the empties they left through our property). They damaged our patio set, entire master suite and work desk. They stole my work printer and attempted to steal an old phone but were caught.The company disregarded my complaints and only responded that I should use our home insurance for the broken items. Why should we have our premiums go up because of what they did?The movers were making inappropriate comments in front of our children like: ‘I wish I could jump out the window’ and ‘I can’t wait to be finished with your terrible move’.My husband and I had to move all our boxes downstairs while they sat in their truck smoking and drinking. Then my husband had to work for the entire day of unloading. These people are USELESS!Police report is being created to help with the theft.Do not hire these people! I don’t want anyone to have to go through what we did.

I wish I could give negative stars. Had to give one so I could post a review.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!Items missing, broken, damaged and dirty.Delivery was 5 days late yet he had a full month to get my furniture from West Kelowna to Winnipeg.Dennis won't call me back to discuss these issues. He sees my phone number and doesn't answer. The one time I spoke to him he said the issues were Jeffs fault. I had to use a friends phone. He didn't recognize the number so answered first ring lol.He was going to talk TO Jeff and call me backThat never happened.You're a coward Dennis, unprofessional and should loose your business license, if you actually have one. You're a liar and completely untrustworthy. I will be filing a complaint with better business. I want everyone to know exactly who and what you are!

My relocation move with Points West Moving was excellent from start to finish. They were very friendly, professional, & timely in all aspects of the move. They took great care of making sure My belongings were well protected & packed on the truck with great proficiency. I truly felt that I was in the best hands for making my move happen. Similar to some of the other reviews on here, our experience was not pleasant. The driver was not professional, little care was taken with our possessions and why should they....there is no accountability from the company or for them.At least a dozen items were damaged, 3 irrepairably. Our patio umbrella which was taken apart by them was left on the back lawn of our new place in multiple pieces. Some of the metal was pried apart and cannot be put back together. The base of a swivel rocker was basically ripped off with screws sheared right off. Rather than the mover telling us it was broken, it was propped against a wall so we wouldn't notice. Thankfully no one tried to sit in it...someone would have been hurt for sure. We had been assured by both the salesman/ owner and the driver that we were insured. No mention of buying additional insurance was ever made. Despite me notifying the owner the day following our move in date that items were damaged and I would be submitting a claim. The response from him was who to send a claim to and to include pictures. There was no apology or note that it should all be submitted within 7 days. By the time we found missing pieces of items and took all the pictures I was a day or 2 late" sending it all in. Not to mention I had to buy a new computer desk to get my computer set up because my original was irrepairable.The company's response was that item 11 in their rules stipulated 7 days and another item said the deductible was $5000
