John's Nursery & Garden Centre

I have been to this store multiple times, I like their selection and in general I have had good service with helpful staff.Recently, I went to this store and seeking some advice on the cedar trees I had bought here a year ago. The staff was helpful in giving me advice but they kept saying you should talk to John Jr (the owner) as he is the expert". After a number of attempts from the staff to contact John Jr. I decided to go to the check out and pay for the product recommended by the staff.Fortunately I was able to bump into John Jr at the check out till

Best Christmas tree we have ever purchased. 8 ft balsam fir. Had it up for just over a month ( only took down bc Christmas is over lol)and not alot of needles upon clean up!! Was just so beautiful!!

Helpful, friendly staff. Worth the drive to St. Jacobs.

Incorrect business hours are posted on Google and their website. Drove down Saturday to look around and the gate was closed with a sign saying they were only open on weekdays.Edit: they responded to my review the same day and updated their hours, so their customer service seems pretty good.

Absolutely amazing! I am a total novice with plants, gardening and generally being outside. The staff at John’s were so supportive, knowledgeable and helpful. They help me find a shrub I was looking for, taught me all about its likes & dislikes and listened to all of my questions. Walked out feeling like a pro and I’m so excited to get planting! Will be back for all of my garden needs (and questions!)

I have nothing but great things to say about the work that John’s Nursery did at my house. It all started with me meeting with their designer, Elizabeth, to review what we were doing, which was essentially an entire backyard overhaul. Part of the overhaul was creating new garden beds, which meant we were starting with a clean slate, however my wife and I aren’t “green thumbs” at all, so we put our trust in Elizabeth, and it was a fantastic decision on our part. Our request was simple; make it colourful and easy to maintain. The photos speak for themselves.Elizabeth took the time and photoshopped her vision of the garden beds, which helped us envision what the final product would look like. This was a huge help! Their work is second-to-none, and as a result of the last year of fantastic experiences with them I have referred several clients to them. We plan to continue to utilize John’s Nursery for garden bed maintenance, and are absolutely thrilled with the experience we’ve had working with them since last summer. We purchased 2 trees last year and recently bought several shrubs. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a large variety of plants to choose from and they are arranged in a way that it is easy to find what you are looking for. The website does not do the nursery justice. Definately worth the trip to look at in person.

One of the best nursery.Why?Varieties of plants and tress, pricess and knowledge of stuff and owner.But Why so special ?The kindness of the owner John spending time with you sharing his knowledge way beyond your expectations .As a contractor dealing for over 15 yrs with all nurseries from KW they never let me down , making my day out here a special one.Thanks John Sr & Jr !

July 5 - only place in the area with stock!!! All plants at other nurseries were old, brown, falling apart and/or barely alive. John’s is stocked like its May 24 still. Great selection, and healthiest plants. Good prices too.

They grow their own trees so you know they are hardy in this area. They have everything you could possibly need to create your own oasis. Very knowledgeable staff
