We hired Soundslikeyellowphotography for our September 2018 wedding. We had originally hired another company but changed our minds a couple months before. My husband and I were in two other wedding parties during the summer and Gillian was the photographer. She did such a fantastic job, so much energy and positivity that she made taking pictures easy, natural and fun. (Something my husband usually doesn’t enjoy) We just knew she would be perfect for our wedding too.Gillian was absolutely amazing in coordinating and accommodating everything for our wedding last minute. We met her for coffee and she went over every detail and took the time to get to know what we were looking for.We are so happy with everything from the preplanning, engagment pictures, makeup and hair shots, wedding ceremony, bridal party, group family pics, and lots of dancing and party pictures! She somehow managed to capture all the special moments and made everyone feel so good and comfortable while doing it. Her calming presence helped me enjoy the getting ready part with my girls and the “take it all in” moments with my new husband after the ceremony when we when off to take pictures the two of us.It was such an added bonus to see sneak peek pictures on her blog only a few days later while we were honeymooning! Gillian is truly talented and has a special attention to detail in every picture. We can not say enough about Gillian and her people!!! She has a way in which she keeps the energy going and allows everyone to feel comfortable, confident ( also like borderline Hollywood superstars- it’s amazing) and at ease when being photographed. She “loves love “ and that energy spreads throughout everyone involved in the day!! We really wanted our wedding to be captured in a way that wasn’t “forced”, included many candids and came across as natural and at ease as possible. And this is exactly what was done and we couldn’t be happier with the photos we came away with!! We used Gillian for our family photo session and she did an incredible job! She responded to my inquiry very promptly and was able to accommodate our challenging schedule. She was extremely professional during the session but was also kind, warm, and made us feel instantly relaxed. She edited our photos and had the gallery available to us in about a week, which was much faster than expected.
