Marquis Dance Academy

Marquis Dance Academy is truly a magical place. The staff and students are so welcoming, caring, supportive, encouraging, passionate and loving! After losing my love of dance to covid Marquis has not only helped me re-find it but made it grow so much more then it ever was:) All teachers and Staff have so much love and passion for dance, for the studio, and they share love with each of their students.

I don’t have a child at this dance studio. But I was just at the Concert hall for RWB swan lake and a large group of young girls wearing jackets advertising your studio was incredibly disrespectful, disruptive and loud. There was no adult supervision, no guidance on behaviour, just loud, continuous talking and laughing kids which at every moment for applause literally screamed in the ears of everyone around them. I was embarrassed that no one cared enough to teach them how to behave in a formal setting. I can say without a doubt I would never send my child to Marquis Dance Academy and I will sure tell anyone about my experience. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I’ve been dancing at Marquis since I was two. The studio has always been like my second home for the last 16 years. I’ve danced in both the recreational and competitive program, and regardless of where you are, the teachers are all so encouraging and have created a fun and welcoming environment for all dancers. Dance has always been a huge part of my life and the support the studio has given me in achieving my goals is more than I could ever ask for. The studio has allowed me to travel, build so many amazing relationships, and compete against some of the best. I truly wouldn’t be the dancer or person I am if it weren’t for Madame and the studio she’s built. It is evident she genuinely wants to share her passion for dance with her students. I highly recommend Marquis for dancers at any level, you won’t find a better studio with such a beautiful facility and amazing teachers as Marquis.

Marquis Dance Academy is a wonderful place to learn dance. It is a very professional and well organized studio. MDA is not only a studio but, it is a family. Marquis has been my dance family for over 16 years as I danced in both the competitive and recreational programs and, it has been nothing short of amazing. All the teachers are so supportive and really encourage the students to develop to the best of their abilities. The teachers care about you not just as dancers but, as people and inspire students in every way. If you want quality dance instruction and to learn from faculty who put their heart and soul into sharing their love of dance, then join the Marquis dance family, you will not regret it!!

When I first came to Marquis Dance Academy I was immediately welcomed by the staff and students. Marquis has been a wonderful and encouraging environment where I have been given opportunities and positive challenges that have shaped me into the person I am today. The instruction from each member of the staff is done professionally and with care to help everyone succeed. Through many years of dancing competitively in the intensive program, I can truly say that MDA is a strong and supportive family to everyone. Marquis Dance Academy is one of the best dance schools in Winnipeg and I have enjoyed every moment at the studio!

Very nice dance school, my daughter is in the 4 year old creative dance class and her instructor Ms carmel(I think that's how it's spelled) is absolutely wonderful with the kids. Overall, the academy had a nice professional feel to it. I would recommend this school to anyone with young children trying to get into dance.

My daughter has been dancing at Marquis Dance Academy for 10 years and absolutely loves it there. As a mother, I have also been so impressed with Marquis. The facility is beautiful and the instruction is top notch. The teachers are kind, supportive, and so knowledgeable. What a great experience it has been dancing at Marquis!

I joined the Intensive Program at Marquis in 2015, after leaving another dance studio in the city. Madame and all the teachers always make sure that I am challenged and am given opportunities to grow as a dancer and performer. I feel like I’ve created so many close bonds with my all my teachers!! I always feel supported and I know that they want me to succeed. The instruction is always so professional and focuses on technique. Our studio is beautiful and a great environment for learning. I can’t imagine dancing anywhere else but Marquis!! I know I wouldn’t be the dancer I am without them❤️

My daughter has danced at Marquis for several years. She absolutely loves all of her teachers and they've all done an exceptional job at helping her grow as a dancer but also a person. In this pandemic year, Marquis staff has gone the extra mile to ensure that this season has no less value than the others. They've shown both flexibility and creativity to keep up with changing restrictions, ensure dancer safety, and still give dancers opportunities to grow and showcase the work they're doing.
