My ex-girlfriend setup an ADT account for her home and put it in my name. She signed the papers, had the install done, all without me knowing it. NOW ADT is enforcing a contract I never signed and never wanted. My ex gets free ADT service. I escalated to the BBB. I escalated withing ADT. The person there, Aditola (sp?) said that they enforce contracts even if the client doesn't consent. Ever heard of contract law? Now I've been victimized twice. They are trying to charge me $3000 for a service I never wanted and a contract which was signed by my ex. Completely illegal, ADT.

We were with ADT for our home security system for 6 years before the merge happened and thrilled with great service, and excellent monitoring with a competitive price. However since the merge, in the last year and 2 months we have had 3 very negative issues occur.-our account was set up incorrectly, names, and phone numbers input incorrectly. This became an issue when we needed to be contacted during an emergency and couldn't be.-terrible customer service, out of 4 reps, 3 had to go for training opportunities. 1 on the processes and procedures of what to do when an alarm goes off.- Retraining or improving your hiring and training procedures is a must. Your brand is being hurt- invoices do not show accurate account information. Only a monthly amount due, as per regular. But when our credit card stopped being automatically charged, this did not show on the invoice. We had to wait for 3 months, a quarter of a year to pass for their collections team to call. As their letter sent, during a postage strike, did not make it before this call, this was the first we heard about it. Once notified, account was paid a day later, to hear that it was an admin error, and if it were to happen again nothing would be different.- if your reps promise a manager to follow up within 24 to 48 hours, those calls must be made. If your managers are so overwhelmed with investigations and returning calls first and foremost stop promising returned calls. Second acknowledge you have much bigger issues with the number of complaints and concerns.No major merge is smooth, but this has been disastrous. 6 years of great have been completely overwhelmed by the bad. I would not recommend this company until they bring up their standards. Retraining all departments, improving your invoices to make them show accurate account balances, protect your brand, reward clients for staying with you despite terrible growing pains, improve faster. Stop coming up with band aid solutions. Create better procedures. Just by having your collections team call from the beginning instead of sending out letters during a postage strike, how much would the company save in postage for calls they have to make anyway? How much work would you save your collections team if your invoices were accurate?I hope this is looked at, seeing how you only comment on your 5 star rating comments, my Hope's are not high. This also reflects how serious the company is taking negative feedback.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. The sales team is the only functional team at this awful company.I had cameras installed by this awful company in July 2020. Also had regular door and motion sensors put into place for roughly $35/month. The sales team offered a warranty for the camera system. It's not part of the monitoring service, but the awful company set up the warranty as part of the monitoring service.I needed them to rewire 3 cameras, so I called the warranty department, whom of course said they couldn't do it without an extra charge. The warranty service was over 800/year on a 7000 total install. Naturally, I cancelled the warranty service, which I was never told was on contract (because that's insane - no other insurance/warranty program works that way). I confirmed this with the sales team, and with the loyalty/cancellation teams over 5+ hours of phone calls with their inept back office personnel. Lo and behold, after this useless, fake warranty was cancelled and I was told they had made a mistake in the back end that put it on contract when it shouldn't have been, I get hit with an over $1000 bill for cancellation... on a 800/year warranty plan. What kind of ponzi scheme bs is this?No one at this company tries to solve problems - only to erode your will by making you wait on the phone. It's an awful company, and now that Telus has bought it this is a poor reflection upon Telus.I will never get any ADT or Telus products ever again, and will be cancelling my existing plans with ADT as soon as the contracts are over.

Got a system 5 years ago. After the second year they stopped supporting their pulse system, which was what we bought it for. Three years later we went to cancel, after buying wireless camera. They claimed we resigned a contract verbally over the phone. When I demanded proof they told me it would take a week to get the recording. Two weeks later I called, and they said they again requested the recording it would take another week. We are now on week six. No recording, they are refusing to let us out of the contract, AND have not returned a single one of my calls. Avoid them at all cost!

Missed opportunity by ADT! I waited 15 minutes on hold to talk with someone in sales to purchase a new system. Finally a rep took my call who dropped it within 2 min of talking. I called a second time only to go on hold again. Finally I asked myself why is it so difficult and why am I waiting to give someone my money?". I didn't connect with a rep the second time and ended the call. The rep I did speak with wasn't friendly or seem to really care whether I called or not. Congrats ADT! Business must so good that you don't need new customers. You have found an excellent way to let new customers know you are too busy. I immediately called the next national provider on my list to have my call taken immediately by a sales person thatthat me feel they wanted my business. In a total of a 16:54 phone call I signed up for 3 years with the newest in alarm technology including control using the phone app! Doing your research and due diligence is well worth it!"

I have multiple locations with ADT Canada. All I can say is I'm slowly switching all locations. I am so not happy with their service. When I get a call in the middle about an alarm it is and automated call, It doesn't give the address of the location. It quickly gives a reference number for me to call them back with. The problem with that is If it's in the middle of the night, by the time I get up find my glasses and a pen and paper the automated system has already hung up. so when I call them back to find out which location they don't know because I don't have the reference number. This has happened to me while driving as well.When I call the Tech. support service desk number there is so much noise in the back ground from other people talking it is difficult to understand what they are saying.Last Saturday morning aprox. 5:30 am I received a call from ADT from someone telling me that there was a technical problem with the system for a location that is 2 hours away from me. I asked them if they were going to send someone out to fix it, she said no. So I asked why on earth would you call me at 5:30 am wake me up, just to tell me there was a problem but won't do anything about it.This is just one bad company to deal with.

I wish I could give them a 0 star rating. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are dishonest and provide poor customer service. The equipment they install is cheap and malfunctions constantly. I have tried to speak with a manager since October 2019. I finally spoke with someone in April 2020 who assured me my charges would be reversed. Then in May 2020 they contact me and tell me I still have outstanding charges and there is no record of my call in April. They don't seem to understand that a contract requires the service provider to actually provide service!

Was on phone for 30 minutes on New Years Eve trying to get a service appointment in less time than 9 days out for my restaurant. I only ended the call when I was promised a call back. That call never happened. I switched to ADT because of poor service from a competitor. Now ADT is proving to be even worse. Its very unreasonable to leave a customer with no service for 9 days.

If I could give a 0 I would. I spoke with 2 young women who both hung up on me and had terrible attitudes. The last one literally yelled at me on the phone for simply asking questions about my service and what had been done by previous worker. This is THE worst customer service i have ever received from any company. ADT better look closely at the people they are hiring cause they are all unqualified and seem to hate their jobs.
