Big Crazy Supermarket

Good variety, good levels of stock and very competitive prices (considerably less than T&T).Well worth visiting if you're on No. 3 Road in Richmond, and looking for foodstuffs. Mind, no fresh produce (fruit, vegetables), but dried and tinned goods are their mainstay and I've yet to find cheaper Lee Kum Kee Guilan sauce.They sometimes have reduced items with close-to-sell-by-dates that are worth a look at.

We drive all the way from Chilliwack to shop at Big Crazy. Excellent prices on Asian foods that you just can't find anywhere else. Case Lot discounts as well. Highly recommended to several friends who now shop there as well.

It was my first time visiting this place today with my family (recommended by my coworker just to buy the yummy Asian dry food she shared with me at work). It was overwhelming at first since there were soo many dry snacks to choose from but we didn't mind taking our time! I had to ask a worker where the specific dry snack was but he couldn't speak English so good thing I had a picture with me. So thankful he knew where it was right away! Kudos to you sir!Though when we were about to pay, this elderly cashier lady was so rude that she checked out our snacks and just threw the plastic bag & our receipt along with our snacks on the other end! I was so surprised as that was my first time experiencing such AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!Also, I think employees of this store should at least learn how to speak a few English words (like, want a bag? Visa or debit?")

The person who checked me out was extremely rude. I knew before I stepped into the store that people did not come here for top-tier customer service, but I did not except to come out of the store feeling angry. When I was checking out, the cashier asked me whether I was paying with debit or credit card. I told her it was a debit card. After she finished the transaction and printed my receipt, she kept saying that I lied to her because the card was a visa". I told her yes

Walked in and walked right back out...Place has poor lighting.. can't see too well inside with dim lights and shadows on everything. Price wise. Everything seems more expensive than say a t&t or any other grocery store in the same area. Except the frozen goods. Those are the exact same price points. Place also smells. Sorry it's too much of a hassle to shop here.

This market is like a medium size warehouse which holds and sells a vast range of products ranging from foods, condiments and utensils mainly imported from China. The layout of the merchandise is bad though- poorly lit, lack of space for customers to manouve (esp. during this time of pandemic, I see people always banging into eachother without the sense of monitoring a safe social distance). To be fair this is the place where you can acquire almost any condiments if cooking Chinese style. When you pay, they still ask you for cash money, no contactless mode of payment provided. Free and ample parking just outside the shop. Prices are fair.

Horrible customer service at the checkout counter, I have no idea why but the workers had some kind of internal issue causing me having to wait for over 15min at the counter for buying only 2 items? Is unacceptable that I as a customer have to waste my time standing there listening to the conflict that the workers are having.

I often come here to buy asian snacks because the prices are great and you can't really find them anywhere else. Just be careful when buying perishable foods. (they might have been sitting on the shelf for a while)

Their hour is 9:30 to 7:30. We, many customers and 3 of their staffs have been waited here until 945 and the owner still didn't come open the door. The staff who also waited at the door told us a few time that the owner is coming soon.This is unacceptable when operating a business like this. I have been here once before after they moved here. It was not busy at all. There were more staffs than customers.I don't think they can compete with Foody World or China World with this overall all performance.

I will say that Big Crazy Discount Variety Store is certainly crazy inside. It is mostly dry/packaged/canned goods both savoury and sweet. They do have canned/bottled drinks. They recently upgraded two large fridges for frozen and refrigerated foods.Apart from the shelves, there are many products in boxes piled up so there is a lot vying for your attention. You can go in focused and get out quick or just wander the aisles and see if any product sparks interest. We do buy certain foods for cooking and snacks, but mostly come for what we have found so far to be the lowest priced rice. We prefer ‘Rhee Chun’ rice (from USA) and the new crop rice is always delicious. Larger grains and it does taste sweeter. $39.99 for a 40lb bag.Daniel
