The best little bike shop in South Minneapolis. My first choice for gear and repairs. Good advice, great communication.Took our 'daycare commuter' in the other day to have some issues addressed with the rear hub - they took care of the problem and went above and beyond to get the bike back quickly and with little surprises thrown in too: a brake adjustment and the nuisance of all nuisances resolved -- they got the pesky leather handlebar grip slid back into place once and for all. Didn't ask for either fix, but the tech noticed both were in need and did it anyway and we left with a much better ride than we came in with! HIGHLY recommended!!!

I like this little shop! They always take good care of me! They also keep a good inventory of bikes/parts/accessories between the 2 shops! They're quickly becoming my favorite shop in Minneapolis.

HIGHLY recommend! Excellent service, great people - true experts in every sense of the word. I took in my old Schwinn Le Tour Luxe for their comprehensive tune up and it's never ridden, looked or felt this good. They gave it the TLC it needed and I am ready to put on the miles. Would’ve loved to give this store a try; however, I showed up during open hours on a Monday (12:45pm) and the store was locked up. No one answering the phone when I called several times. There were other people waiting outside the store as well– one client had an appointment. It was quite the walk for me with a broken bike only for the business not to be open with no indications of it being closed. I checked online for hours prior to walking over.

WOULD NOT HONOR THEIR PRICES. I wanted to purchase a Surly bike here and they only had the Large frame size at the store but I needed the Medium. They told me I could get the medium for the same price because they had it at their other location. They brought the bike up the next day and I went in to purchase it but they told me the price was $500 MORE even though the price tag said otherwise and they had quoted me that price. They said it was their fault but the owner would not honor the quoted price. Very disappointed...will not be purchasing a bike here...

Wow - just wow! I brought my bike in expecting to need to replace my breaks (not a cheap job) and the tech immediately determined it could be fixed with a small amount of labor. Also got advice on how to do a few minor items at home myself to improve performance. This is now my go to shop - such great service and integrity!

This is the only place I’ll bring my bikes. I brought mine and my husband’s in to get fixed before a trip. Sam helped troubleshoot my issues and was able to fix them right there! I thought I was going to have to pay $$$ for new tires, but nope! When I do have to get labor done, it’s always been incredibly well priced and fair. I love this place!

Love this place. My son was having issues with the gear switch on his bike. They said they might be busy and it *could* take a week. I got a call about 45 minutes later saying they resolved the issue! Not only that, but it was such a simple fix that they didn't charge us. I will be going to Farmstead for our annual bike service and maintenance for a long time to come.
