I said yes to the dress here yesterday - we had planned to go to another shop in Exeter but when we arrived it was closed as you can imagine we were very disappointed - we found this shop and asked if they could fit us in which they did. I was quite anxious and Jenny made me feel so relaxed, I was able to try on as many dresses as I liked and we took lots of photos. One dress made me smile and I knew it was the one. So glad the other store was closed lol - thank you so much for everything x

This shop literally saved my wedding day! Unfortunately my original dress got ruined by a seamstress 12 days before my wedding.I rung Bridal Emporium and they kindly squeezed me in with 15 minutes notice!!I cannot remember the lady's name who assisted me but she was a amazing! She put me at ease, knew what I wanted and she was honest and fun! The one on one service I received was out of this world.The store then went out of their way to get me another appointment the following day as I couldn't decide between two beautiful dresses.The man who greeted me was a super friendly and was aware of my situation and already gave me alteration options (I came in at 9am and he had already thought of a plan!?) Their in house seamstress pinned me in that day and my dress is ready to pick up 4 days before my wedding.Originally I was a little unsure if I would find anything as the shop window wasn't my usual style. But the dresses they have are truly stunning and any bride to be will be sure to find their dream dress.Thank you so much to those three members of staff! The service you have provided is amazing and I'm so grateful.

I made an appointment via Facebook for a week later! Tried on a variety of dresses some which were in a smaller size and some that were big. I was listened to and Michelle did her best to deliver what I was asking for and always delivered on showing me how I would look in those dresses! Although the dresses were what I visualised, something was missing. Michelle with her experience threw in a wild card dress. It totally floored me, and confused me as I hadn’t thought about wearing a dress like that! I went home that day and spent the whole week thinking.. I then came to realisation that, that was the dress! ThankyouWonderful staff and great experience!

This was my first ever dress try on. I’ll start by saying the lady helping me was nice, but it wasn’t the experience I hoped for. Most of the dresses I tried on weren’t available in my actual size and she kind of held them up and pulled at them saying ‘this is what it’ll look like’ - but obviously that doesn’t really help. She informed me we couldn’t take any photos (which i think from research is relatively common and fair enough, but something to be aware of). Then she informed me that in order to try on my own size of that dress I need to pay 50% of the dress which is non-refundable should I not like the dress (when able to try it in my own size!) I think that’s truly ridiculous and it was quite an uncomfortable environment. The changing rooms were okay but felt cramped. There was only 2 chairs even though you’re invited to bring 3 people with you. There was a lot of awkward silence and I felt too awkward to actually air my views. Alterations aren’t included in the price and if you want to try your own size in a dress you love you have to pay the 50% that you’ll never get back. As I said, the staff were nice but it’s the sort of experience you’d have maybe at a prom (at a push) - definitely not for the best day of your life. I let the lady know I would think about it as I liked one of the dresses. However, I’ve contacted another shop who have been so incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, with dresses they will order in my size at no extra cost, that I don’t think I’ll ever go back to this place. To be really honest, it ruined my first experience of a dress try on and I left feeling deflated. I cannot recommend it for brides - but for any other occasion absolutely!

What a fantastic shop to choose your wedding dress. I booked a VIP experience initially with my bridesmaids and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful Michelle! She had a chat and asked all the things I wanted to see in a dress and my dislikes and started to help choose dresses to my profile. She made us all feel so welcome and relaxed and gave us her honest opinion and couldn’t of been more helpful. We narrowed it down to 2 dresses that I fell in love with and one of them being a wildcard that Michelle chose!! She told me to go away and think about them and come back with my mum which I did today. We tried on the 2 favourites ( 1 of which I had my heart set on) and she chose another wildcard for me to try. It wasn’t in my size but she clipped and pinned it as best as she could to give me the best fit and idea of how it would look and I ended up in such a predicament as I fell in love with the other wildcard and couldn’t choose. She took the time to get me in and out of the dresses and take photos to see different angles and gave me her honest opinion. Michelle couldn’t of been more helpful and I was so pleased to say ‘Yes to the dress’ Now the wait begins for my dress to arrive. Thank you so much Michelle! X

I have been to The Bridal Emporium twice in the last 4 months to buy firstly a bridesmaid dress for my 15 year old daughter. Then a return visit for my daughters prom dress.We made appointments very easily via their website and got contacted very quickly to confirm.On both our visits ,we had the lovely Laura help us. She listened to what my daughter wanted,and made us aware that most dresses were available in different colours and sizes. We found my daughters bridesmaid dress quickly, and added accessories too,but never at any point were we rushed . We were given time to discuss dresses with the staff out of earshot so never felt like we were being listened in on.Laura made a great rapport with my daughter really quickly , and asked if she wanted help dressing or be left to it,and she opted for help.We were made to feel really welcome and didn't hesitate to rebook in February for looking for a prom dress.This time Laura listened to what my daughter was looking for and said I think I have the perfect dress for you (it was) and went around the store looking for it for us. She also was very patient whilst several different dresses were tried on and mulled over.When the dress had been chosen we were advised of how long it'd take to come in & that we would have to pay 50% deposit. (A norm I have heard in most boutiques for wedding/occasion dress orders).Whilst we were ordering the prom dress, I was also updated on the status of our bridesmaid dress.I would rate the Bridal Emporium 100% and recommend them to anyone, as we had visited a couple of other shops prior to seeing the team here and had definitely not felt as welcomed or looked after as we did here! What can I say except AMAZING! It hasn't been the easiest wedding rides like soo many people but these guys have been fantastic. They couldn't of done enough for me and I can not recommend them enough! To finding my dress, changing my mind during lockdown, finding my new dress, ordering me in bridesmaid dresses, all the alterations and support I generally have had has been the best! Thank you soo much for the last few years! Going to miss not coming in!

Amazing experience from start to finish!I called up and explained I had a ball next month I was apprehensive, as I had left it very late notice so was not sure they would be able to help. They found me a slot the next day, even keeping the shop open so I could come in after work. When I was arrived i was welcomed and was given time and space to choose as many dresses as I liked to try on. The lady spent time helping me and I did not feel rushed at all. I found the perfect dress and was given advice on the next steps! Could not be more grateful for the service I received.

I would give 10 stars if I could! I recently went to The Bridal Emporium to try on wedding dresses and it was my first time doing so. The wonderful Michelle was helping me and she was absolutely amazing! She listened to my ideas and did a fantastic job at understanding my personal style and picking out dresses for me to try on. I felt so at ease with her and the whole experience was fantastic! I ended up finding my perfect dress and I would 100% recommend The Bridal Emporium to future brides. A massive thank you to the lovely staff (especially Michelle!) who made this experience so amazing!
