Kids running around with no supervision while parents are playing. I have nothing against kids as I have my own but I don't use the club to babysit my kids or treat it as my kids' private playground. Kids running back and forth in the background while playing is so distracting, not to mention the noise they make.ONLY IN EYTC!I have never seen this happened in other clubs. It's becoming more of a daycare centre than a tennis club.

After some unpleasantness at Dentonia Park Tennis Club I am very happy as a new Member at East York Tennis Club. They make you feel welcome and you can always hit with someone. Their Wednesday night Round Robins are great - you get to play with many people of different levels. They even have food after - thank you very much Frank ! The Club pros : Andy, Bruno and John are friendly and very helpful as well. I am very satisfied with EYTC and I will continue to recommend this Club to my colleagues and friends.

Cameras are a nice touch, are they for vandals or to spy on members? Members are curious as the email sender and his minions were not even physically present when they played and yet they still received nasty emails. These nasty emails are just like Covid, it’s just a matter of time till you get one, of course with the exception of the club pros, who seem to be exempted from all the rules. They put court dividers so the pros can use any court they wanted and would just leave the junior nets in court 1. I think that this is a safety hazard, I guess some people just look the other way.Now we have to pay $180 from just $130 (in 2020), I guess we need to pay more club pro posh salary in this non-profit organization, this used to be mostly run by volunteers before the changing of officers happened. What the heck happened!

I signed up with EYTC a few years back. First time I handled a racket at that time. Old timers and seasoned members were not tired to rally and taught me the basics of tennis, until I had confidence with myself. Great people and supportive in many ways. Sence of community. And with the pandemic, the officers and volunteers of the club, made sure that the restrictions and regulations followed by all members for the safety of everybody, and at the same time enjoy playing tennis.Thank you to all, for the great job well done during this difficult time. See you all next year!

Fantastic tennis club with a great group of individuals that participate and volunteer to manage this club. This has been especially true during Covid with all precautions and measures taken to ensure the safety of all members and public using the courts. Thanks for all your hard work in making this a true community hub in East York.

I have been a member of this club for years and it is just sad what is happening to it. It used to be fun and a lot of camaraderie among members, now there is just tension between the members and the committee. It has become a police state where members would get nasty emails from the new president for every little thing. Then he has the audacity to complain that he was spending too much time to do his duties. Perhaps if he stopped monitoring who is booking online and analysing who is playing with whom, and sending emails before members even get to play and after the play, he would have more time for himself. When some of the staff quit and no one wanted to replace them, or no one wanted to volunteer for the vacated positions, it is a failure in leadership. I used to be in the committee a few years back and we didn’t always agree on everything but at the end of the day we were still all friends and civil to each other.Up until 2020, when online booking was implemented, we used to have monitors, new balls every 7 pm, pizza every Wednesdays for round robin, monthly clinics and BBQ, budget for teams, end of year buffet party with little prizes for everyone who attended, and yet there was still savings left for clubhouse improvements and court surfacing, and we were able to afford all these for a membership fee of only $130. Thanks to the previous committee who budgeted our money wisely. Now the membership is increased to $160 and all of these things that were mentioned above are gone, and one would ask where did the money go, well 74% of it (230K out of 310k) went to salaries for a few people who worked a few hours a week for some months. There should be more transparency where all these salaries went. It looks like the club is catering more for the club pros rather than its member. A salary increase of 333% (from 69k 230K) from 2021 to 2022. SMH

As a new member, everyone was super friendly and welcoming, the on line booking was convenient and easy to find appropriate partners. Bruno the head pro was especially amazing and helped improve my game tremendously. Covid protocols were well maintained. I can’t wait to return for another great season with Tony the new president who goes out of his Way to make EYT a super tennis club.

My son is enrolled in their afordable after school tennis program. It is an open hard court, so the tennis programs run only for 2 months in the spring: May and June, and 2 months in the Fall: September and October. However, I do not see the expected fast improvement in my son's skills. Also, I would not recommend their summer camps, as the groups consist of players with huge difference in skills and age.
