Downsview Heating & Air Conditioning

We bought an AC unit from this company through our builder Great Gulf. The unit worked for the first 3 times we used it, then stopped cooling the house. Downsview came out to check it out.... The tech stayed for 10 minutes and said that there is a leak, and mentioned he does not have the equipment to diagnose where the leak is coming from and left in a hurry. Downsview did not send anyone back until three days later. When they finally sent someone, they said the issue would be fixed, but when the technician arrived (on a Friday) he stated that the needs to do a test which takes 24-48 hours. He came back the following Monday, as they do not work on weekends he said, and diagnosed where the leak was coming from (the compressor). Since then, Downsview has kept saying that the don't have the part in stock that needs replacing, and it will arrive the next day. They have been saying this for the entire week and looks like they are not getting the part anytime soon. I will advise against anyone using this company and if anyone is purchasing a new home and decides to buy the A\C from the builder, make sure it's not outsourced to this company. They seem to have a lot of contracts with builders... Also, the techs are not professional... they don't wear any protective gear when welding, they keep taking phone calls and say smug remarks like enjoy the heat while we have it" in reference to having no A\C"

The worst company imaginable. A buyer or renters worst nightmare. They claim they have a one year warranty but in my case they sent someone out multiple times throughout the warranty and were never able to solve the issue. But now that it has been over a year they claim they cannot resolve the issue since the warranty has expired, even though THEY NEVER FIXED IT. My AC system was brand new and has literally never worked since being installed. If you call and complain they speak to you as if you have done something wrong (I specially had to deal with Alexandra Dibono, this women should be fired, her lack of customer service skills is quite embarassing) complete crooks. This is by far the worst “company” I have ever come across. They are one big scam and I have no clue how the still exist, the reviews speak for themselves. Avoid them all costs and save yourself a complete nightmare and headaches.

The worst company you will ever deal with! We had no hot water for 5 days and they simply do not care. Noone was sent to inspect it. It is a scam.

This is for downsview plumbing there's a red-headed driver at 5:00 September 14th coming off of little ave. Rather than waiting in traffic like everybody else he zoomed past and cut in last minute which forced everybody to throw on their brakes and then is swerving in and out of traffic on the highway is there a reason why your drivers have to drive like this? Especially with your company name placard all over the side of the vehicle?Maybe you should remind your drivers that they should drive and respect the company name because that was disgusting to watch

BUYER BEWARE: These guys installed our humifier 3 years ago. Never worked, they connected it to the wrong pipe and we've been trying to get in touch with them for 3 years to rectify or fix this problem. They are awful to deal with, receptionist is incredibly rude and will transfer to Mark, who will never get back to you. We had a 1 yeae warranty and they dodged our inquiry within that year. Money wasted unfortunately. Trust all the other reviews... not worth your money or energy. Terrible product and service

Unfortunately did the hvac work for my house. I purchased the house from builder and the quality of work they have done is extremely poor. I have problem after problem. Tech comes in and when they are told there is another issue they simply say thats not my problem and you need to rebook again. Very unprofessional staff and not so knowledgeable. Would not recommend to anyone. I would give it a zero if I could. Stay away as far as possible

Absolutely abysmal service. Installed a brand new A.C unit in a brand new house, doesn't work. In fact the unit was installed and not checked and has a leak in the line. I have been waiting a week for someone to come and fix it and been getting the run around. I have been told they are coming one day between 12 and 4...nothing. Next day between 12 and 4....nothing. Absolutely unacceptable. No communication from their service people.

Literally the worst “company” ever if I can even call it a company. Person answering the phone NEVER EVER takes ANY responsibility whatsoever. Always be like “must be xxx is wrong it’s not our problem”. They installed the water heater improperly and as a result in Dec (just imagine how cold it is in Ontario) we had no hot water for days. And the worst thing is, the hot water suddenly stopped working when someone was in the shower. And now, the AC is also not working in the heat waves thanks to them. And as expected they didn’t want to send anyone to fix it. I have no words for this “company”. Why does it even exist when it doesn’t want to do any work or take any responsibility at all??? Why not just dissolve the “company” and do something you care about?

Awfully run company. Did a rough-in for A/C and forgot to run electrical wire. The basement is finished. They found out 3 weeks ago and have now cancelled 2 appointments after their scheduled window. Do not choose this company under any circumstances. Top to bottom terrible company. The reviews say it all. The receptionist, Alexandria, is truly unprofessional and not pleasant to talk to at all. Extremely rude and has no empathy towards taking accountability for their mistakes. I do not know how this company gets contracts.Update: as of June 7 we have 3 no shows after guaranteed windows. Stay away from this toxic company
