Hannah Motors Sales and Service

I gave my car to them to repair my noisy muffler. After inspecting the muffler, they said it only required welding the part of the muffler in the front of the car, directly under the engine that had come separated. They charged me 2 hrs labour at their posted rate of $75.hr.Within the first week my muffler became noisy again (near the front of the car, directly under the engine). I did not take it back immediately because I did not intend to have them touch my car again. It was also a very busy time for me.By the time June rolled around I went back to Hannah Motors and spoke to the service manager, Steve. I asked for my money back. He wanted to put my car on the hoist and inspect the muffler. I told them I was not interested in having him fix it, but just wanted a full refund. He got belligerent and refused to refund my money. I do not recommend this auto shop to anyone. They don't stand behind their work and are not very good at resolving problems. Steve definitely need some coaching on being respectful to customers.It should be pretty obvious to any service person, that when a customer places his trust in you to do a good job and you let him down it is very unlikely you'll be trusted again. So to ask the customer to place his vehicle on the hoist is pretty dumb.I had another auto service shop look at and repair the muffler. I saw the parts he had to replace. The shop I took it to discovered a hole in the muffler pipe further up toward the engine. It was 'hidden' behind a plate. As a result, all the work done by Hannah Motors had to be moved and redone and the pipe with the hole replaced.That explains why the muffler was noisy within the first week of repairs performed by Hannah Motors. Thorough inspection would have revealed what had to be done. Tsk, tsk. Shame on you Hannah Motors.

I bought a pickup truck from Hannah Motors. Between the day of my down payment and pickup, 270 km had been added to the odometer. Also, the universal joint later failed. Transmission shop said it was full of water and asked if I had a boat. No, but the guy thst sold it to me does. Be careful doing business here!

Hannah is a staple in Cobourg.you can buy rent or get repairs done on your vehicles here. They are hard honest working people always a must look when buying renting or great repairs.
