Pampered Pets of Westmount

They SHAVED my corgi in the middle of winter. Every decent groomer knows you do not shave a corgis coat, EVER! They’re lucky my husband picked her up because I would have never paid them a penny for this disaster. They didn’t even apologize. They also hurt my friends dog really badly with a razor ($500 in vet bills).RESPONSE TO OWNER: This happened pre-covid and I most certainly have the right grooming salon. I'm very happy not to be a client of Pampered Pets Westmount anymore. You clearly don't know how to take responibility for your mistakes and you did the same thing to my friend.

To the wonderful Staff,Our puppy Charlie was passed suddenly, a mere baby of 11 months. I wanted to thank all the wonderful staff who always took such good care of him. He loved coming to see you ladies, and getting pampered and being loved so much. We appreciate all your kindness and all the love your showered him with.

I have very mixed feelings about Pampered Pets. I have been bringing our dog (a Samoyed) there for a number of years and prior to COVID would have highly recommended them with 5 stars.At the start of the pandemic there were lots of changes (much more difficult to get appointments, the deposit, etc.) but I still would have given them 5 stars in light of the situation.The problem was earlier this year when we adopted a Samoyed puppy. I tried to get an appointment for him when he was around 5 months old but was told they were not taking new dogs. I tried again a couple months later, and was asked to bring him in for an evaluation(?). During the evaluation I was told: his undercoat was all matted and he needed to be groomed within weeks or all his fur would need to be shaved off; he would take too long to groom so they had no space to groom him within a few weeks; I should have brought him in sooner before his fur was in such a 'dire condition'; they would not offer him an appointment even in the next month when they had available spots. It was a very unsettling experience with lots of mixed messages. Luckily I found another groomer with lots of experience with Samoyeds who groomed him later that week and told me his fur was normal for a puppy getting his adult fur, and the only mats were behind his ears (which we were already aware of), and he only took 3 hours to groom (which is normal for a Samoyed).All of this then makes me question how much Pampered Pets really knows about grooming (Samoyeds at least). So if you are already a client at Pampered Pets, you are already giving them 5 stars and there is no problem; if you are not already a client and are looking for a groomer (which is what these reviews are for) I suggest you look elsewhere. Sorry Anna Maria, I really did like the grooming you did with Abby, but that was a very upsetting experience.

The team is so caring. My dog (Kubba) is an anxious one and they were so gentle with her. Also her hair looks great! To add to that, I love the variety of dog food and accessories available at the shop

Very upset that my dog was cut last time he was there and still paid full price for the appointment. Giving two stars because at least they offered to pay vet bills. I know mistakes happen but I can’t stand seeing my dog in pain and am very stressed over the whole situation

I took my Pomeranian for a full groom at PPW today and it was such a great experience. It's so hard to find a good groomer I'm so happy I found them! My dog was so scared and skaky but they did a fabulous job and were so kind with her and I. Most importantly, they treat each dog in respect of their breed and fur.My baby is beautiful and smells amazing!

I have been bringing my dog Guizmo to PPW the past year. Their cuts run on the pricier side (60 dollars for a fur cut, blowout, and nail trim), but they are still the best I’ve found. Their cuts are very consistent so I always know what I’m getting, my dog is blind and they treat him carefully and kindly, he always walks out of there excited and more youthful. Overall a good experience, with a bit of a price tag.

Highly recommend. Absolutely wonderful team & talent! Dogs are always groomed beautifully. Annamaria is lovely, she noticed an injury on my dog before I did. The very best choice for a groomer!

I had a wonderful experience with my little Miss Pippa at Pampered Pets it was her first time getting groomed and I admit I was extremely nervous but they did a wonderful job and the staff was just delightful I recommend them 100 and 10%
