I am an actor, and had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn on a movie set. She did my make up for a number of film days, and is so talented. It didn't matter if it was a daytime fresh look or special effects for a horror murderous scene was needed, she had all the equipment and knew how to use it. She was so fast and effective and made me feel so comfortable. I am so happy we met, Carolyn :)

We hired Carolyn Beauty and Style for both makeup and hair for our wedding. Carolyn did our makeup, and another lady did our hair. There were 5 of us in total, myself (bride) and 4 bridesmaids.Carolyn was incredible, and easily deserves 5 stars. She was so kind and patient. She took the time make us feel comfortable. She even explained the makeup application process as she was doing it. She did an excellent job, was passionate about her work, wanted to accommodate to our needs, made us feel comfortable about false lashes, and had a positive and upbeat attitude. She cared about her job and wanted to make us look great on the big day. She took on the whole morning with humour and was so easy to get along with. When she could tell that we weren’t happy with our hair, she offered to help us. Even though her particular role was just to do our makeup, she just wanted to make sure we were all happy with both services after she left. She even said that a few times - she didn’t want us to be unhappy with our hair for the entire day. The day was about the wedding, and not worrying about what we looked like.As mentioned, Carolyn herself didn't do our hair, it was another lady that was brought in because there were 5 of us and that would have been too many things to do for 1 person.The lady that did our hair, right from the beginning, seemed rushed. She was at the house for less than 2 hours and it didn't feel like that was enough time for the 5 of us. The bridesmaids were all supposed to have the same hairstyle and only 2/4 did.Unfortunately, our hair continued to get worse and worse as the day went on. We shouldn’t have needed to help each other adjust bobby pins. For the cost of that service, our hair should have lasted ALL DAY. Not just an hour. She didn’t take enough time and it felt very rushed. When we asked her to fix it, she just told us that’s the way our hair is.“Your hair is very thick, that’s why it’s like this.”“Your hair is thinner than her hair, that’s why it’s like this.”She didn't take enough time to curl the hair, only keeping the curling iron in per curl for 3-5 seconds, which seems abnormally short, and explains the curls losing their curl shortly after. None of the hairstyles, not even the brides, managed to keep the shape very long. Carolyn stepped in after the makeup was completed to help fix our hair and she did wonderfully given the (by that point) time constraint. After Carolyn fixed us up, our hair did last the rest of the day to the end of the reception 12 hours later.But to go back to Carolyn, she was amazing! And we would 100% recommend her. We have only good words for the makeup that Carolyn did.

Carolyn did my makeup for my wedding in her beautiful home studio in 2022. I had the most wonderful experience, she is so fun to work with and extremely talented at what she does! Was so happy with the results and would definitely recommend as a makeup artist for any special occasion.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Carolyn and her patience with me on my wedding day. Her hair and make up was on point and I have never felt more beautiful in my life. I highly recommend her services she has a great five and keep you feeling relaxed and enjoying the moment on your special day. Sweet Jesus this women is a life saver!! when my current artist canceled to do recent illness of Covid, I was in desperate need for an emergency replacement. Carolyn was fantastic. After me reaching out she called me informed me of all the details and she was fortunately available to squeeze me in last minute after a full morning of previous booked wedding party. I gave her a blank canvas and trusted her with her expertise and I was certainly please. Not only was she extremely accommodating her studio was beautiful. Not only clean but also very appealing.-Forever Thankful. :)

I was lucky to have Carolyn do my wedding make up this summer. Carolyn was excellent with communication leading up to the trial and the big day and was so dedicated to making sure all were happy with their make up (bride, maid of honour, mother of the bride). Carolyn was professional, organized and very talented when it came to the end product. It was obvious that her only intention was to make sure that everyone felt and looked their best. We especially loved the natural style of eye lashes she was able to add on. It helped complete the look but was balanced and natural looking and turned out beautifully in photos. I would recommend Carolyn for anyone looking for someone to put them at ease on their wedding day knowing that their make up will be exactly what they want.
