Amazing food, amazing beer, but the staff is what brings the place together! Scott is always there to put a smile on your face, Al is your can answer any questions you have about the beer, Julie’s food and service skills are top notch. You won’t leave disappointed.

7/62 Craft Brewery in the little town of Madoc is welcoming. Their large, shaded patio is indicative of their desire to represent a variety of very diverse beers. Here may you find a Belgian saison jostling for attention with a British bitter; quiet Irish reds competing for attention with an unusual Canadian ale. This is a brewery that dares -- dares to be different, dares to challenge itself, and dares to take on conformity and turn it on its head.Al's Best Bitter has a malty nose, with a bitterness so pleasingly true, and so well balanced that one is compelled to chase the elusive malty bitterness, always seeking more. The Madoc dark red ale has a powerful oatmeal flavour with fleeting malt notes. This generous ale leaves the supplicant with a full-bodied mouth feel.Rarely can a beer be characterised as two-faced: The Isolation IPA is notable for its clean smelling pine notes that initially presents as an ale, and then, surprise, reveals itself as a beautifully balanced IPA with a bitter twist; just a squeeze of bitterness supremely balanced with a wheaty flavour. The Hastings Canadian Ale, like the Isolation IPA, plays with one's expectations. The pale wheat colour promises a light ale body, which sings with a surprising umami aftertaste! This flavour combination shouldn't even remotely work, but does!Brace yourself for the Belgian Farmhouse Ale Saison. While the classic ale winks at you with the mischievous smile and an effervescent character of a much loved grandparent, the 7/62 take on the revered Belgian Ale presents itself as as a stern parent: While the flavour profile is of the classic yeasty Belgian lineage, the bubbly body and crisp finish have been edited out of the DNA without it being to its detriment.7/62 offers a warm welcome, a lovely setting, and a beguiling mix of beers.

Just a quick first visit today. We enjoyed a flight of 6 and shared. I am not an IPA fan so that was the only one I didn't care for. Great little patio.

We ate at their outdoor patio for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful time. The owner himself (Scott) served us with smiling conversation and suggestions. The menu isn't too extensive but was delicious. We had their charcuterie platter for two and it was great with a small glass of their Madoc blend dark and a french pressed coffee. The total was only $31.10 and we were comfortably full. It's right on the west side of Russel St. (Hwy#62). What a wonderful way to start the afternoon, and it was fast.
