The entire process and atmosphere at Thrive is thoughtful and welcoming. From the initial assessments to getting down to the workouts it’s been great. Very detail oriented and a lot of thought goes into your plan. Super welcoming and comfortable space to workout as well. Everyone here is awesome at their job.

Thrive fitness is an exceptional place for any health and fitness goals you may have. I have worked with both Mike and Megan now.I spent time working out at home myself and after deciding I wanted to work with Thrive again I quickly realized the difference. There’s just no substitute for professional programming and training. After the first workout I was feeling energized and amazing as opposed to fatigued and run down.I loved the entire experience. I enjoyed the process and the results and would highly recommend them!

I've been training with Michael at Thrive for a couple months now, and it's been an awesome experience.I came into it wanting to get back into shape and address some lingering back/posture issues stemming from a weak core/posterior. Far too often in the past I'd try to get back into things myself and go too fast and unguided at the gym and I'd hurt something or generally be unmotivated without a plan.Michael was super friendly off the bat, totally welcoming of me and my fitness situation - it's clear Michael and his team are ready to help anyone from any walk of life, be it a current athlete or someone who hasn't worked out in years. In the first session Michael spent time evaluating my condition, mobility, etc. in a very precise and knowledgeable way. He quickly diagnosed weak areas (which I'd always suspected) in the hips, posterior, and core. He built a series of progressive stretches and exercises to address these weaknesses that we worked on together in some one on one sessions that I could then take to the Canada Games Pool gym to work out on my own time. I'd always thought going to the gym meant going straight to the bench press and bicep curls - Michael helped me understand what I needed to work on first and laid out the path to getting into condition to eventually get to those more fun" exercises (e.g. bicep curls) which he does totally advocate for (to keep things interesting). All in all I'm super happy I started these sessions with Michael to get me on track with a kinesiology based approach to my conditioning and making my time at the gym SO much more effective and rewarding.At first I was checking in with Michael once a week

I have been going to for a few private Kinesiology sessions. Jo and the team at Thrive Fitness are very professional. Thrive Fitness is conveniently located by New Westminster Station. If you have the weekdays off perfect place to start off your day. The team can help you achieve your fitness goals to keep you happy and healthy. Would recommend.

Mike and his team of professionals truly care about their clients’ wellbeing. Taking a goals based approach to physical wellness, trainers Megan and Laura have been actively (and safely) pushing me towards becoming my strongest self. A clean, safe, and encouraging environment; I highly recommend these trainers if you’re looking to build your physical wellness plan and stick to it! I have known Michael professionally for four years, and have benefited tremendously from his knowledge and enthusiasm of movement, health and fitness. In my work as an osteopath, I often struggle to find people to refer patients to for more movement-based training, especially people with complex needs or injuries. Had my first session on Monday with Megan and what a memorable experience.She was fun, supportive , positive and attentive. Megan showed me a great circuit workout which is my favourite style.The workout facility is very well spaced, clean and lit.I’m relieved to be able to check my first goal on my “New Year’s resolution’s” list off because I found a gym I can rely on.Can’t wait for next Monday!!

Following a car accident in early 2021, I was referred to Thrive by my chiropractor — and I’m so very glad I was. It was the best medical related referral I’ve ever received! Michael and the Thrive team immediately impressed me with their level of expertise, professionalism and commitment to their clients.I had just started on my rehab goals related to my car accident when I broke my arm. When I was ready to resume rehab at Thrive, my car accident goals were combined with my broken arm goals, and I’ve been continuing with weekly sessions ever since. Now, I have more than recovered from both injuries, and in many ways I am stronger and more fit than I have ever been. And I’m in my 50s, having been a regular gym guy for over 35 years!There have been countless times the team has coached me in the tiniest of little ‘tweaks’ (slight position change, or to change my focus, etc.) which together all make a huge difference and ensure I’m exercising safely. Having had back surgery in my 20s, I’ve always been overly cautious, avoiding certain kinds of exercises which I thought could strain my back. Michael and his team have given me the knowledge, skills, confidence and push I needed to take my fitness to a whole new level — beyond what I thought was possible for me. For rehab or fitness goals try Thrive!
