This was my second time working with Merv and he does beyond a detailed and informative report. He hasn’t changed his prices in year and spends multiple hours going through everything in detail. He unlike other inspectors also spends a good chunk of the time with the client to explain all of the safety concerns and go over all of the valve safety for the home. He also has a great sense of humour so he makes the experience quite entertaining. He is also willing to come and assist with any problem after you buy the house and always offers to assist with questions both along the he way and after! I cannot recommend him enough!

Merv doesn't just go through the motions, he actively engages the buyers in conversation and teaches them the ins and outs of both routine items and emergency procedures. His construction background comes in handy in pointing out areas where the builder may have utilized materials or construction methods below par and how to perform preventive maintenance in those areas to avoid future repairs. Merv also has a great sense of humour and easy to work with. He also offered to answer questions about the house until the day I have ownership of the house. I recommend Merv to anyone who is looking to buy a house and wants to get a high quality inspection done.

Merv is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and trustworthy. He clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does and went above and beyond to ensure my fiancé and I understood everything we need to know about home maintenance and safety. We really appreciate the lengths he went to and his offer to call him anytime in the future if we have any questions or concerns about our new home. We will definitely be using his service again!

Merv was great. He was thorough, caring, kind and Hilarious. He made sure that we knew why he was doing something, he also taught us things along the way, which was a bonus. We feel extremely comfortable in the purchase we made. Our last inspector was nothing like him. I felt that Merv cared for the home as much as we did, which was nice.

Merv is friendly, knowledgeable and thorough when doing house inspections. He doesn't just inspect the house, he teaches you how to maintain the house as well as important safety information. We have used his service twice and each time we have learned valuable information about home safety. He answers all questions without judgement. He provides a very detailed report quickly. Just want to say that I was overly pleased with the detail and the time put into my home inspection. My father came with me and he has been in the construction business for over 40 years and he was also pleased that both him and I were taught valuable home owner lessons. Merv pointed out even the simplest of things that could save us money down the road. From the little dollars to the big dollars. This home inspection was worth every penny!!! Merv is worth every penny. He didn't read the book - he wrote it. He's clearly very experienced and has seen it all. Incredibly thorough but equally educational. He'll teach you things that simply can't be taught in school. He's the real deal.

Merv helped answer all our questions and went above and beyond to help us with the experience of a first time home buyer. During our first home inspection, Merv was able to quickly identify the first house was a grow-op even though it was hard to determine as they've tried to hide it well and was not disclosed. Further research and history on that first house showed exactly as Merv mentioned and he was right on with the approximate date of when it happened. We will truly never forget all the tips and scenarios he shared with us. Merv is a great instructor and teaches well. I felt at ease knowing Merv came to do our second Inspection as we learned more everytime. He is detailed, thorough, and with a great sense of humor. Our home inspection with Merv was a wonderful experience. We were able to understand all the important safety features of our home to be. The inspection lasted four hours which is double the time that you would spend during a standard inspection but it was so engaging and educational that the hours just flew by. And we also had a lot of fun as went through it, thanks to the great sense of humor that Merv has. He tagged all the safety points which is awesome, these tags will help us never forget what to do in emergency situations. Merv was an excellent, straight forward, confident and capable home inspector that went above and beyond what was expected. Merv showed up early for our home inspection to meet my partner and begin the home inspection. He went into great detail about things to watch out for throughout the house and provided recommendations on the spot about what we can improve in the house. I wasn't able to join the inspection until 4:30 p.m. and Merv stayed for an extra 2 HOURS to ensure I understood how to turn the furnace off, where the major water supplies were and what to do in emergency situations. He labelled every part of the house that we needed to know.Merv then provided his inspection report to us bright and early the next day which has helped immensely as we work through our renovations. We are beyond grateful for his patience and the level of service he provided. Merv is a true professional who cares deeply about his clients and their homes!
