Running Room

Was looking forward to coming here to get advice for a novice runner. Explained to staff member (Short, older woman) that I was looking for shoes for treadmill or pavement - she condescendingly said ‘all of these shoes are good for that’, and provided no additional input. I replied that ‘I’ll just figure it out myself then. She proceeded to just stand there awkwardly. I ended up deciding to go elsewhere, not giving my business to them.

Great shoes, Great Store and Great Staff!I bought my pair of shoes today. I can truly say these shoes are the most comfortable ones as I have multiple problems with my feet. The colour is amazing.Store Manager helped me. She is extremely extremely knowledgeable. She listened to me very patiently, understood my problem and quickly brought the most suitable pair for me.

Had excellent service, super helpful. Will definitely be back.

I called ahead to ask if they had the shoe, version and color (all black) I was looking for. The woman said they did. I went there and it turned out not to be all black, and a different version.The woman said that the one I wanted flatly didn’t exist. And showed me the colors she said did exist.I looked it up on New Balance’s website, and it does indeed exist, was in stock in my size, and could be ordered from them easily.I asked her about this and she wouldn’t really give me a straightforward answer. It felt like she was trying to get me to buy the wrong shoe from them by obscuring the facts, instead of being totally honest and having me order the right shoe myself from New Balance.Not very classy.

Very helpful staff. Spent time making sure I got shoes that would be comfortable and work well for me.

Woman working was prompt with asking if she could be of assistance but was quite rude, looking me up and down and speaking with me as if I was wasting her time, which made me feel quite unwelcome. Despite liking the product I came to this specific store to see, I left without making a purchase. I’ve never felt compelled to leave a negative review like this before.

The absolute best experience I've had in a retail store, the friendliest most helpful people working there. Helped me to find the exactly what I needed to make my feet happy. Also provided me with some great tips for running my first marathon

Not going back as a customer. The staff are great and friendly but they didn't do price match. The shoe was 17 bucks cheaper on Hoka's official website. That amount doesn't make much difference for me and I ended up buying it right there, but I was really disappointed that their policy doesn't allow price match, specially because it was on Hoka's own website. It was my first time at The Running Room and probably the last. I left the store not feeling happy about my purchase. Next time I'll buy online or some other local store who values their customers.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at this shop. Staff sold me the exact shoes I was looking for but didn’t know I needed, given my inexperience with running. Instead of gouging me they provided quality advice and expertise with a smile to boot! Went for my first 30 minute run this morning and knew I had made the right choice going to the professionals. Chapeau!

Just bought two pairs of running shoes this evening and was extremely impressed by Shelly, who assisted me in finding the perfect shoes. She was kind courteous professional and patient, excellent customer service. I am very happy I shopped I definitely will be back.. thank you so very much ☺️
