K-W Walk-In Clinic
I’m grateful to have a family doctor, and also grateful for urgent care as an alternative option to the emergency department at one of the hospitals. I’ve been to this clinic countless times, over many, many years. It’s a walk-in clinic, not a family practice— so I always expect a wait (longer if it’s a “peak” time of day). I’ve seen many reviews mention the clinic “closes” an hour before the posted operating hours— this is a misconception. Walk-in clinics need to stop patient registration at a certain point, well before closing time… so that all of the patients can be seen before the clinic actually closes. Think of it like the reminder announcement at a department store— “the store will be closing in 30 minutes,” but instead of announcing it, they physically lock the doors (otherwise they’d have patrons pleading their cases, etc.)… so when people arrive at 2:00pm expecting to be seen, and the clinic is open until 3:00pm but the doors are locked— it’s not that “doctors are lazy and the staff wants to go home early” — it’s that they’ve stopped taking patient registrations, and the doctors and nurses are still treating patients (you just can’t see them from the window you’re angrily peering in). I’ve been coming to this clinic for over 15 years— it’s a fine walk-in clinic. I also appreciate that the X-ray and ultrasound clinic is in the same building. Will you wait there too? Yes of course. Doctors, nurses, techs, and receptionists are all doing their best— and at this clinic, they do a great job!

Get ready to wait! Clinic opens for 9am. I arrived at 8.15am to be first in line. It is 10 am and I have not been seen. I am not even sure there was a doctor here for opening time. I can't really understand why you open at 9am and don't see the first patient until after 10am? Not so efficient.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Horrible walk in clinic, it does not feel very clean. Consistently understaffed. The Drs. obviously have no idea what they’re talking about and are being paid to spew absolute non-sense evil information to people. Every time I go for any concern their suggestions are “why don’t you go on birth control” or some other useless dumb advice. I wish I could go further into detail about how incompetent and miserable everyone in this building is but Its not worth more of my time. Shame on Canada and its horrible healthcare system and Shame on the Drs. who are willing to sell their souls for a check.

Doctor was horrible. I was having a major allergic reaction and he saw me for less than 2min. Said to take allergy pills and walked out of the room. I got a second opinion and ended up needing prescribed steroid meds and this helps right away!Wast of my time going here.

I showed up and was in a room in 10 minutes. Done and out in 30. He cleaned my wound which another doctor didn't do. Gave me good direction with how I should care for it and asked for a follow-up. All in all I'm doing much better thanks to this clinic.Everyone is polite and professional.

Very bad receptionist, did not greet, did not even reply for greeting. Asked her some question did not reply properly, Still I said thank you and she did not even have the courtesy to respond to thank you. Doctor is nice. Treated pretty well. But they should teach some manners to evening receptionist

I don't understand the affiliation of Walmart with this clinic. Just a landlord, or presumably a good source of business for their prescriptions. The healthcare professionals may be good, the front desk overworked and overwhelmed ... but it sucks in every aspect of customer care.It is also unhealthily crowded, and miserably uncomfortable. Welcome Canada to third world health care.Phone calls promised are often not returned. They do not have electronic file sharing with labs, primary care doctors etc.I can only guess it's a good deal for the doctors. For the wait time you cab hop bus and access a better, efficient clinic. I learned the hard way.
