We worked with Heather Tyminski to update our wills and personal directives. We hadn't looked at the documents in almost 10 years! Heather was very responsive, transparent about the costs and billing structure, and completed the work quickly and accurately. She also managed the face-to-face meeting with attention to detail on COVID protocols. It was a good experience and we would definitely come back to Mainwood for other legal services.

There flat fee real estate transaction is not the flat fee they quote you. I was quoted $850 and the day of closing Brent Mainwood my lawyer asks me to sign there closing documents was around $1100 I used them cause I was selling a BC property and I live in Alberta. I feel ripped off by my own lawyer. When I asked him what these extra fee's were for he simply read what was on the form I had to sign. I Said Software fee?" What is this and why is it being added to a flat rate? He explained it is the fee for using the software we use. I asked again why was this not in my original quote

Don't waste your time. We reached out for an Alberta property sale and a BC purchase, provided all the information and never heard back. Selling and buying a property is an emotional journey and having a professional firm" waste your time is quite frankly disgusting!"

I have used their services twice for the exact same real-estate transactions. Will NEVER use them again. The “flat fee” cost increased by over $400 this time around due to hidden fees.My closing date was in January, it is now June. I have not yet received the refund of my contingency fees that were held back, nor have I received invoices for the “estimated” fees I paid. It has been 6 months! I have called to inquire and have emailed and have had no response. They do not return my inquiries. BEWARE, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! You’ll be left 6 months later wondering where your $ is.
