Rice Howard Place

I was assisting an elderly woman who was quite worried. It seemed to take forever to be served. The man who helped us did appear to be knowledgeable. The bank machines appeared to offer fast cash but the function didn't work on either machine.

This building has a very bad management. The building's employees are anti-smokers. They can harass you no matter you are on their property or not.For instance, I am a tenant of Empire Building. The building's management does not care when its tenants smoke behind the building, on the building property. Daniel, a security guard of Scotia Place, harassed me when I was leaning against the Empire Building's wall, on the back of the building, and smoking, while I was surfing the phone and not walking around. He told me that I could not smoke close to the Empire Building. I advised him that I was on Empire Building property, not Scotia Place property. He told me that I had attitudes when I corrected him. This was very rude coming from someone that represented a professional building like Scotia Place. I made a complaint to Empire Building management. One of the Empire Building's employee and I raised the harassment to Daniel. He lied and stated that I was smoking and wandering around on the back of the Empire Building. The Empire Building did not hire Daniel to guard their property. I am not sure why he gave me troubles. I had issues with one of Scotia Place's maintenance employees when I smoked on their property prior to this incident. I do understand this rule and stay away from Scotia Place property as far as possible. My concern is that Scotia Place management allows their employees to harass other building's tenants even though the tenants are not on Scotia Place property.

Great building in the middle of downtown. It has been going through an exterior replacement of the glass and it looks great. There are 2 towers as part of the complex with a 3 storey podium. There is a small food court on the lower floor. There is direct access the the Central LRT station. Also Scotia Place is tied into the downtown pedway system. A nice building that has been a part of downtown for many years and will continue to be. I worked in tower 1 for 5 years and always found the building easy to access and get around in.

It's a beautiful building and the signage is good. People working in the building are friendly and helpful. The dentist's office is very spacious and nicely decorated.

Needs more pick-up/drop-off spots as I find I block a lane of travel dropping people off for rideshare. Parking is heavily enforced as I see meter attendants there often. Occasionally harassed or subject to confrontation by many of the people there who carry pipes of some sort or foil and take substances from them.Too long: Didn't Retch: Generally nice but stay warm.

For me place was dark and not brightly lit, elevators should be mark clearly about the offices, information guy was helpful.

Clean building, has different businesses inside including a dentist office, Scotia bank. They have a small food court downstairs and a convenience store.

Great building with a lot of office spaces and the basement have food court with alot of restaurants.
