It is amazing the way the keep it so real to the old times. Every time you get inside it feels as if you have travel in time. All the products they sell match together to each other. Whatever they sell the packaging is amazing. Is a great place for graphic designers or illustrators who wants to make a research in situ of many different vintage typos and logos. Highly recommend.

What a delightful, historic, yet full-featured grocery emporium! Stepping in the door is a step back in time. Yet you will find most anything you need and more, with a very helpful staff. Specialty items are their pride and joy. Well worth the walk from Old Town.

The store has existed since 1871 and maintains an ancient and prestigious atmosphere. The supply in the store includes wines, dips, cakes, canned goods, sausages and cheeses. I tried the milfay cake and it was good but the leaves were too hard.

Nice, old décor and atmosphere. Beers, wines, pastries, packaged foods. Fun to browse. Café seating at the front. Not a good place for vegans.

The staff very nice and friendly. By accident I found this well know place. J.A. Moisan is a delicatessen place.I met a manager who explain me the history of this fine place. Excelent café latté, pastries and also ready to go meals. You can find some local brands as Vallé Verte.

love this place, they have an incredible selection of gourmet sauces and jars of so many imported from europe decadent foodie treats... tonnes of mustards and anything you'd want on a cheese board with meat what do they call those again?staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they are very kind to help me in English too. although i keep promising them i'm going to learn my french still! ;)

If you remember this place 5+ years ago, it's not the same now. More of a cafe atmosphere with a selection of gourmet foods than what it used to be.

Fantastic selection of both local and imported meats, cheeses, desserts, and beer and wines. Not cheap, but good quality. Nice location near the bustling restaurant scene. Truly lives up to its heritage as the oldest grocer in North America.

Living in Montreal for many years, I have not found any grocery shop compared to here. You can get all of grocery needs with premium quality especially fantastic cheese options and all food spices. Definitely the prices are slightly higher but worth it if quality matters for you.
