We were attempting to transfer vehicle ownership from father to son. As I would be out of province eventually, they informed me owner transfership (gift of a vehicle) can occur without the buyer" being present in person. Fast forward 1 month

I am a young driver and needed guidance on selecting the best insurance for my new car. I called Western Coast Insurance Steveston office to find out the options. I was amazed how professionally the staff led the whole discussion with me. She explained me all benefits and features and asked me the right questions that helped me select the best insurance deal. I called her several times to get clarity on the different options, and she always responded with a very customer obsessed attitude. She earned my trust by being very transparent on all benefits and its associated costs. I am very happy and satisfied with the services. Highly recommended !!

Very professional, competitive price and great service. I bought my home & auto insurance from them. They are very prompt and friendly. The staff has taken excellent measures to keep their clients safe during Covid. I was able to get most of the paperwork done on the phone which was so much easier and faster.

Positive experiences at first. Later on, I needed a quote for a different living situation I was considering. Despite being an added insured and charged by my family with handling it, my agent called the power of attorney on file rather than me - just to get basic information despite my being the one who reached out. Sure, when it comes time to get an agreement or sign, that would make sense.Instead, it made me look bad. In addition, I was not well advised by them in my opinion on what insurance I needed until I called Johnson & Meier. They cost more but told me exactly what kind of insurance I would need and got me to an agent that could help with the right underwriters.Western Coast by contrast told me that even if I no longer wanted the quote on the hypothetical situation, the underwriter may no longer want to insure us even if we stayed in the same situation. Yikes! What did you say to them?If you want basic home insurance or condo insurance, they're pretty decent with customer service. If you want anything custom, my d'oeuvre has told me to go with a broker in future. Better to pay a little more and be properly insured imho.

For many years I was insuring my cars, not paying attention to some small but very important things. I would be in, sign the papers, pay and leave.Since COVID-19 things have changed. Those small things are becoming equally important as the insurance itself. People working at this small office are perfectly organized. They are strict but friendly, trying to keep themselves and us, as a costumer, healthy. Everything is sanitized before you get in making me feel comfortable and safe.On top of that they are knowledgeable and not pushy, making this experience almost a fun.

Western Coast Insurance was awesome! Shout out to Ellis who helped every step of the way and explained everything without delay. Needed to renew some insurance and was able to do everything from home. They were polite and courteous and would highly recommend them!
