After a tremendously long wait? Pushed meditation and yoga methods when explained it was not working out. Explained difficulties with methods given for coping with trauma and grounding were NOT working, and they only pushed what wasn't working more. Refused to exchange therapists when the original one was and is not working out, even though patients have a right to do so. The lack of accommodation and listening to patients is staggering and incredibly dangerous given the circumstances of why someone would come to this place. Yoga and meditation? That's all these trained staff have? These methods don't work for everyone and if these staff do not have what it needs to take care of a patient, refer patients to another facility that can better accommodate patients. Not all 'difficult' patients are doing it to be difficult, sometimes it's because some methods just don't work for some people.

The most amazing and friendly staff. This organization does an amazing service for the community! They should be commended for their hard work and dedication to helping others in the face of extreme adversity that most of us will never understand. Hats off to a wonderful Not For Profit Organization.

This organization is incredible. The staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. They are a godsend to anyone struggling after an assault or abuse, especially with the state or our mental health systems in Alberta. Absolutely worth a call and any wait time for groups is worth the wait. Always recommend.

Out of all my experience with counselling, this is by far the best place to go and get help for sexual trauma. Very kind and friendly staff - even my counsellor is amazing with me and getting me on track with healing.Far better then Saffron Centre!I’ll be recommending this place for those that need help in this particular field of trauma.

I have never felt more attacked and disregarded by a centre that is supposed to be able to deal with those gone through intense trauma. Not only was i repeatedly not listened to, constantly interrupted but i also was pushed to hav to YELL just to TRY to get my point across.....n then of course im hung up on. The person i spoke to was SO poorly trained i am not sure how she has a job at a centre tht requires a great deal of patience and understanding.... if that is just the intake call i would HATE to see wat therapy is like. This is the centre i was encouraged to go to over others yet she couldnt even tell me wats avail thru this centre so i could make a better choice....and you wonder why some of us loose hope and give up. Thanks for the 'help'.

SACE is a facility that specializes in helping Sexual assault survivors to heal.Located in West Edmonton, this is a one of a kind facility. This is about my first visit, and maybe my last. This has nothing to do with the any of the staff who run the groups, etc. This is about the Help desk staff. They were so unwelcoming, and that's exactly how I felt, Unwelcome.Upon getting buzzed, in I was looked up and down and was sneered at by the Front help staff. No smile or eye contact. Now, I can empathize, maybe they were having a crummy day or they were ill.I wasn't feeling well" either. I needed comfort and a friendly face!I went once

It's a for profit. Heard the older boss lady. She gets paid by the government as well as at the front door. Sessions are bland and repetitive.Kind of a run ya around in circles place. NoNE of the workers they actually care. If they did they would send me a email or even a phone call saw 3 workers leave in the span of 3 months. All of them are just students working for free. Then the old lady who runs it gets profits
