Beardsell Guitar Workshop
I've taken three guitars here for a set-up. With the first two the work was great, and turn-around time was quick. The 3rd one needed some fret sprout filed, and I was disappointed with the job, to say the least. I can forgive the lack of polishing, but the file gouges into the fretboard edge and sanding through the neck finish (and metal shavings still stuck to the pick-ups) was a big disappointment. Unfortunately it was not just the one fret that came back looking like this, but about half of them. When the guitar was in better condition before a set-up, it's a bad sign.I'm still giving them 2 stars because the work on my other two guitars was flawless, but I'm not going back.

Chill atmosphere and complete competence. Old school vibe and professional work completed quickly. Al and Lucas are a pleasure to work with.

Lucas did an exceptional job refretting my 70’s Guild Starfire IV. The work is top notch and it was done exactly on time at a reasonable cost. The difference after the refret is night and day, so worthwhile. I’ll definitely be back!

Took my guitar for a tune up and some small modifications. Friendly and very reasonable pricing.Through their adjustment of the neck I've found my guitar a lot more playable for which I am very thankful.

I had a about a 1 inch ding in the body of my guitar near the jack plate. the nitrocellulose finish was chipped and the colouring that on the chip was off the body ..bare wood exposed . I brought it in to let them give me an estimate and to see if it was possible to repair . Beardsell said yes and 2 weeks later the job was complete well beyond my expectations .The quote was so reasonable that i bought 2 of their T-shirts . The only place to bring your guitar in Winnipeg .

I emailed them about my guitar and they were sooo polite and quick to reply. I haven’t yet been able to work out an appointment because of my location and my schedule, but will absolutely trust them with my guitar in the future.

Had Beardsell install a new bridge on my Fender Jaguar, as well as a set up. Really incredible work! Thanks Beardsell!

I've used Beardsell many times in the last 2-3 years and they always do amazing work. I feel safe taking expensive or vintage instruments there because I know they will be handled with expert care; but they've always treated lower end instruments with the same level of respect. Their attention to detail and pride in their work is easy to see... and much appreciated!

Lucas has been nothing but amazing! I've been bringing my guitar to him for years now and he's always been super accommodating, helpful and punctual :)I'd highly recommend bringing your instruments here if you need a tune up, a good opinion or some new conversation!

I took my early 70s Gibson J-45 to Beardsell. It needed a lot of work: new frets, major cracks on the body, new bridge and saddle. The work that they put into my guitar was impeccable. I thought the price would be $1500 + as there were lots of things to fix. The price was under $1000, I couldn’t believe it.
