OK... I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food was amazing, the atmosphere is incredible and Ashley made our visit memorable... we had been out for seafood at a high end restaurant in a hotel and Ship to Shore put it to shame and at a fraction of the price. A hidden gem no longer hidden....

We came by looking for some fish and chips along the shore after a visit to Denman island. This place came highly rated and we were very excited to try it.We both had a Pirate Ceaser to drink which was excellent. A nice selection of toppings and a large drink underneath.I had the 2-piece Halibut and Chips. The fish and chips were both amazing. My only complaint would be that 2 pieces of fish needs to come with two of their tiny tartar sauces by default. Our waitress was more than happy to bring me a second one but it should be default with a 2 piece. The coleslaw wasn't great in my opinion but that wasn't why I was there.My partner ordered the Calamari and Fried Oysters. The calamari was excellent. The cook was perfect and the seasoning was awesome. The fried oysters were a miss for us. Very larger oysters were used which resulted in quite a fishy taste. To top that off, the batter was not cooked all the way through which resulted in a gross soggy layer of batter along the inside.We did bring the issue with the oysters to our waitress' attention and she offered to remake them but we declined. Instead she did take them off our bill, excellent service.I would absolutely come back, just stay away from the oysters.

Disrespectful service.Ok, since the owner replied and starting verbal attack, I am now giving full details for why giving my review at 1 star:I called before coming, was told open. I arrived at 18:30, which google maps shows close at 20:00. I was then told by the receptionist with very indifferent attitude that half the menu was sold out then forced to leave. Yes, I consider that a disrespectful service from a dishonest restaurant.

Delicious, fresh ! Some pub classic options and also healthier dish. We were 3 and all went for lighter it was a hot day. Super friendly service! Busy place, they do their best for the cost of living/ food on the island . I was highly impressed that their deserts were home made. There was no cheating " on the fried calamari or fish quality;

Excellent food and excellent service. Melanie was so helpful, nothing was too much for her and she made us feel very welcome. Quality of the food was superb. We loved the battered prawns as a starter and our son had the calimari followed by two wonderful burgers and fish & chips. Great location too.Definitely 5 stars.
