For Pet's Sake

I won’t be buying anything here again. About two months ago while making a purchase, I was advised that I was not a member of their loyalty program, which I had been for all my prior purchases. Strange! I left my name and number and requested a call to explain why I was arbitrarily axed and thereby denied the benefits of my accumulated previous purchases. A month later having received no phone call I reattended and again left my info and requested someone call me to explain what happened. Well, another month has passed and still no call. So don’t rely on their loyalty program to expect discounts based on prior purchases and certainly don’t expect management to treat you in a respectful manner.

I have been concerned about my elderly dog and decided to pop into this store today. There was a young lady who was super helpful. (I wish so had for her name) She listened as I explained my concerns, asked thoughtful questions. She was very helpful as we discussed different options for food going forward. I cannot say how glad I am I decided to stop in.

Stopped by this store to grab some cat food in a pinch. We were helped by Erin who was excellent. Super helpful, accommodating, and went above and beyond to help us – truly great customer service! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the neighbourhood.

I love For Pet's Sake! We have shopped here for every cat and dog we have ever had. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. One lady in particular always remembers my name. Great food selection, dry, raw and semi raw. Awesome toys and tons of treat selections. They are always happy to see their four-legged friends pop into say hi...or woof rather.

My favourite pet store with fair prices and kind owners and staff. From our last boy Riley , here in the photo to our new rescue who loves going in to get a treat, these people have been knowledgeable & friendly. They were very accommodating when we tried so many types of harnesses to get the right one for Raya. The staff at Parkgate have always worn a mask as soon as I come in. I don’t expect a plexiglass screen is possible with large bags of pet food needing space on that small counter. I do feel very safe shopping here. Supporting these small local businesses is always my priority during these tough times and beyond.They also own another store in Lynn Valley beside the Dairy Queen.

second time going into this store....NO covid safety measures....Door was closed,. more than likely not sanitized........went in ....not one sanitizer for hands in sight....The young man (who was very nice).. behind the desk was not wearing a mask....no safety shield, at the desk.... and just walked up to me like ......no social distancing......I asked about a product and he went to the back of the store....looked for the item....then approached me within about 2 feet.....I was very disappointed about the lack of safety measures....Will more than likely never go back Very sad that these folks don't seem to care about what is going on in the times....I have had a friend who's Mom died and two other friends who almost died....Please people take this virus seriously......

I got the job back in September and I just got paid the first day of December. They are hiring right now but don’t waste your time.

Great local pet store run by people who care. They can't compete selection wise with PetsMart or Bosleys - but that's kind of the point... They aren't the big boys" they're small and local. What they do have skews hard towards organic and very high quality. If you care what your pet eats - do yourself and your furry friend a favor...SHOP HERE."

Changed owners after 30+ years, they were an amazing and integral part of our areas pet owners and pets! The new owners are very engaging, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about preventive health care, making sure products are working and everyone is happy. We miss the old owners, but the new ones are great!
