This place is okay, but the decor needs some serious work. The urinal in the men's washroom is out of order and there's a bunch of flies in there. This is definitely not a place for a romantic dinner.The food is quite good, and my family liked the shanghai noodles. The chow mein is excellent as well. A few things to note:1) There is no chili garlic sauce. This is a must have when ordering green onion cakes. They came with some weird type of sweet sauce that was composed mostly of corn starch. Stay away from this sauce as it will give you a buttplosion.2) The egg foo yung is served with a very salty gravy. This is not normal in the slightest.3) Nothing much for dessert, except for a mint with your bill. It would be nice to have seen some authentic Chinese desserts with red bean or something.This restaurant is very convenient to get to as it's right off the highway (hence the name, although I have no idea what a skyway has to do with this place) and really convenient if you decide to go fishing at Hanmore Lake.So yes, this place is good if you like Chinese like we do, especially for being out in the boonies, like Smoky Lake. It's so really nice to see some visible minorities, in these Delivarance-type areas of Alberta. If we would have heard some banjos, we would have split pretty quick!

Alex is a great host and the food he serves is terrific. The different varieties of fried rice are really good.My friend has shrimp linguine, which he said was very good.

Reasonably priced restaurant with primarily Chinese dishes but also western and pasta dishes. Clean, + (friendly, courteous, professional staff). Inn attached appeared nice, outskirts of Smoky Lake next to hiway.By the way food was excellent.

Visited this establishment for lunch. Room looks tired and has kind of a damp smell.Ordered a chinese combination plate with changes. Took about 20 minutes to get my order. The food was absolutely excellant!!.Everything tasted perfect and lots of it.I will certainly eat here again.

While on a trip to Cold Lake my wife and I stopped at the Skyway on 28 for a brunch. We were immediately interested in the decor and in a sense, retro interior. Classic in design, the menu was straight forward. We ordered a breakfast meal. The meal was excellent in flavor, quality and quantity. Service was good as well. One can sense the effort put in by the kitchen staff - they care about what they serve. A thank you to the owners. On our next trip in the area, we will certainly stop in for a bite.

Stopped here on our way back from camping and ordered the Chinese Combination dinner for 3 - egg rolls, special fried rice, sesame chicken, bbq pork mixed greens and ginger beef. All was fabulous! Ginger beef was nice a crispy, broccoli didn't have that congealed substance that you normally find on Chinese mixed greens and was perfectly cooked crisp, rice was nice and flavourful and not dry. We weren't sure what to expect with the sesame chicken as we'd never recalled seeing it on a Chinese menu before but we were very happy with it, a new favourite of my husband's now. All in all, highly recommended!

This is for an order of BBQ pork fried rice.Service, 4 stars.Waiting period, 4 stars.Food quality, 3 stars.Establishment/Environment. 3 stars.Portion sizes 4 stars.Prices, 5 stars.Food quality is one of the most Important in regards to a meal which is why I am leaving the total rating at 3 stars. The food was okay. Definitely not the best fried rice I have. I actually found the taste a little odd. Otherwise I had a friend say he really enjoyed the beef and greens. So do give this place a shot.
