I'm not one of those avid Starbucks coffee fans, but I do like their baked goods. When they weren't quite so ubiquitous, I liked them more as I was introduced in Vancouver to the breve latte. Now it seems that they have a kind of cult following that I don't understand and I think that their coffee substitutes bitterness for flavour, but, when you want a coffee and they're conveniently in your hotel, and you have a coupon for a free coffee, why not? It would have been nice if they stayed open later, I think they closed at around 8 pm from what I remember. Far too early for the weary traveler who doesn't want to drink hotel room coffee. Not great, not awful and the staff are usually friendly enough.

I don’t like to rate places based on one visit, so I went back here a few times and had pretty much the same experience each time. Poor customer service. The baristas were busy chatting with other customers (maybe those customers would speak better of the service) so it felt like I was interrupting when I’m placed my order. It is fairly busy so I can’t figure out why they have 3 people taking orders and only 1 making drinks. And, on the last visit my espresso was piping hot and served in a cup that was way too big. Espresso should be immediately drinkable and should not have to travel 4 inches to your mouth and be half lost while sliding down the side of a cup. C’mon Starbucks, even Timmies has proper espresso cups!I’ll give 2 stars simply for their awesome outdoor seating.

Poor service and experience. After waiting over five minutes for the one patron ahead of me to be served I asked to redeem my Starbucks reward stars only to be told, very unclearly, that we are a licensed store". I asked that that meant the cashier repeated "we are a licensed Starbucks".This didn't really tell me anything so I clarified "are you trying to tell me that this location cannot redeem stars?"Again he responded simply with "yes we are a licensed Starbucks". I still have no idea what that means but I'm curious as to what an unlicensed Starbucks would be then.Clear communication from staff to customers is something that needs improvement here. As well as attitude and promptness."

Former Starbucks employee here - Easily the worst Starbucks I've ever been to.Understaffed during morning rush, staff is poorly trained (ex. Steaming milk wrongly, leaving things in oven too long, not brewing coffee often enough, literally never once seen someone with a CS timer) and slow, manager is nowhere to be found, when drinks are made incorrectly they try to talk you out of asking them to replace it, store itself looks like garbage... I'm there right now and staff aren't even in approved clothing or wearing aprons. There's also a nice big pile of breakfast sandwiches just sitting on the counter rather than in the fridge or freezer, which I see every morning.I tried to complain through Starbucks Canada because frankly I don't know how someone could stay manager if this is how they run their store. I can only assume that it's because people keep coming here due to the location (like me), so the sales aren't dipping.I hate having so much negative to say, but seriously guys, get in the game!

This place does not make drinks as good as other Starbucks. You can tell some of the staff have an attitude of not wanting to be there, hence, it reflects on the taste.

It was my first time to visit this location because it looks so small from outside so I wasn’t sure if there is enough seats. It looks very nice inside, presenting clean and modern interior. Staffs are very friendly and kind too!! One of the best customer service I experienced in Starbucks. There is construction going on next to this location, but it is very conveniently located close to the city hall and Elgin street.

The only Starbucks I go to I couldn't recommend the location more! The whole team is helpful, friendly and very hard working. They make sure you always feel like family. I wouldn't start my morning everywhere else.

Love this place. The staff are very helpful and kind, and they always seem in such a good mood with everyone which is excellent for customer service. The Starbucks itself isn't very big, but the design and layout makes it quite spacious and comfortable if you decide to dine-in. The coffee is perfectly made too, they never miss anything. I'm giving this place a 5/5, always have had good experiences here.

Nice little Starbucks location. Probably its best feature is the outdoor seating right on Elgin with a great view for summer patio days. One notable deficiency: I thought Starbucks locations were supposed to be known for their Wifi availability? I've been here a number of times and haven't detected any Wifi from Starbucks- only for the Lord Elgin hotel next door, for which you need a room number or a some other key.
