Well this place was down right awful, I couldn’t even stay in the water park for more then 10 minutes without getting huge rashes and feeling down right gross by the amount of rust and what looked to be slime on the walls and floor of the pools. The frames/wooden stilts the water slides were on looked like it would just crumble, and the slides weren’t even open. All the lifeguards looked as if they were in there early 20 and didn’t even keep watch where the people were. The only thing good about this place was the drinks in the vending machines. And the rooms were not even good, we even had to get relocated to a different room due to the smells in them, if your planing on coming here think other wise. And as for you arrowwood executives who probably don’t read these let alone listen to them you need to step it up just close it for a few days and repair it your losing all the people who would come back

This resort is in an amazing area. Though we visited in winter, I can imagine how great the location is in the warmer months. However, as great as the location is, some things need to be addressed to make this resort shine (and worth the price of the room).1. The rooms need some TLC. The bed was fine, though we only had a bed sheet and a thin blanket. The pull-out couch, which our kids slept on, had a thin mattress. For the kids, it was fine. An adult would probably not sleep well. The wallpaper was peeling in spots, the room had a dingy feel. The room had a large window, but we could not move the curtain because the pulley system was broken. It was open part-way, making it difficult to sleep in.2. The restaurant was fine. The steaks were good, though mine was a bit overcooked. The service was good, though slow. This is something every establishment is struggling with. Our waitress was very friendly. The Sunday brunch was good.3. The splash water park needs some serious work. There is not enough seating for everyone. There were also not enough tubes for both the lazy river and the slide. Many people were in the lazy river without the tube, including myself. The park seems dirty and grimy. The floors and sides of the pool are rust colored. The slides leak all over the place, though they still function fine. I was concerned about the wood structure holding up the slides as it appears the wood is beginning to rot with all of the leaking water. The hot tub was lukewarm at best. The activities pool was warmer. The hot tub also had several children under 12 and the staff did not seem to care. There were also cleanliness issues in the hot tub. The splash pad was a hit with my kids, however, the big bucket was not working and there was quite a bit of rust in the support structure. The pool concession stand looked very untidy. It took a while to get drinks. Our margaritas were very sour. The food was salty and mushy. It was also difficult to get towels. We had to leave the pool area dripping wet. I recommend bringing your own. With all that being said, the staff we encountered were friendly. Despite all of the issues, we did have fun at the water park. It just needs some good maintenance to bring it back to what it once was.

Recently we stayed in one of the townhouses. I highly recommend when staying with more than 4 people! Clean, nit buggy even though you're right on the lake, and great customer service! Our family goes every year and we are never disappointed!

Just wrapped up a three night stay while attending the MMBA conference. My review reflects having a fifth floor lake view room as well as food and beverage service at the conference. Really, everything was very clean and the service was awesome! WiFi worked great and the room had an amazing view. My major concern was the lack of A/C in my room. Even with outside temps in the 30's, the room was very warm - even with the heater off. I can't imagine how hot the room would be in the hot and muggy Minnesota summers. Aside from that, I am super happy with the amenities, service, and location.

Went here for a conference. Pool and waterpark need updating. The waitress in the bar and grill was kinda lacking in service. She seemed pretty unhappy. The bartender upstairs was kind of off putting. The whole place is super super hot and stuffy, had to keep my balcony door open almost the whole time. It’s in the middle of pretty much nowhere. I don’t think I’d ever return.

This is a great place to bring the kids. There are three different water slides to enjoy for the bigger kids"

The hotel room was nice enough, and I loved having a balcony that looked out at the lake. The front desk staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The water park area is in desperate need of cleaning and updating, like others have mentioned. My kids (3, 9 & 10) had a blast there. But the big bucket wasn't working, the slides weren't open right away in the morning due to staffing, and there was not enough seating or areas to put your stuff. The staff at the concessions stand in the water park were innatentive at best. No one working there seemed to care about doing a good job.

One star is too generous. Went to the restaurant (inside) for dinner, waited 5 minutes to be seated in an empty room, waited an hour for food to arrive, and had to leave to get back to work - so no food.. If you decide to go there with the intention of eating, be prepared for a long, long, LONG wait. Good luck.

Service was good, but the interior was dated. Rooms were huge, however I got lost in the hallways that mirror one another as I had a decent hike ahead of me from the conference center. One good thing was the amount of amenity, as far as food. Otherwise I would have given it a more worse rating.

Went and stayed here recently. It hasn't changed since I was a child, very dated. Our room door wouldn't close but they promptly fixed it. We ate at the restaurant and is was very poor. I ordered the special, it was a prime rib, reds and broccoli rabbi. The prime rib was well done and tough. Potatoes were not edible without water. My wife's pasta was also bad enough to where we just didn't eat it. We each had a few bites and asked for our check, still tipped and paid full price. The waiter didn't seem to care at all nor anyone in the restaurant.
