Dr. Maharaj is absolutely amazing! I came to see Dr. Maharaj at the Thornhill Endoscopy Centre in Toronto from Ottawa.After being in debilitating pain for over 7 years and having been through many doctors with no relief and not even a clear diagnose, Dr. Maharaj was the only one to get from the first visit what the issue was. He went above and beyond to relieve my pain! I was not a simple case, but he worked methodically through options to help me. He even researched the treatments specifically for my case - which ended up being a nerve pinched/irritated pain. I have never met a more compassionate doctor who truly cares! He even provided his mobile phone number to contact him after my visits and he always replied promptly. I don't even know how he does this, having seen how busy he is. He is always calm, composed and has a great sense of humour. Absolutely fantastic doctor! He gave me my life back! The world needs more doctors like Dr. Maharaj!!! I am eternally grateful for all your help, Dr. Maharaj!!!Thank you also to the great supporting team of nurses and receptionists!

I would strongly advise against visiting this clinic. I went there last year with one problem and came out this year with two, after enduring multiple painful procedures and weeks of recovery, not to mention thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses. Despite promised success rates of 95-97%, my original problem remains unresolved and I now have a new complication of similar size.The set-up at the clinic is like a factory, with tiny spaces and back-to-back appointments. The doctor doesn't take the time to read your history before meeting you, which is concerning for someone who is supposed to be providing medical care. Twice, they tried to reschedule my appointment because they had overbooked patients and claimed the anesthesiologist wasn't available. However, after refusing to leave and asking to use local anesthetic, the anesthesiologist miraculously appeared - 'the other one' was here. This seems like a deceptive tactic to avoid admitting that they were overbooked.Overall, I'm incredibly disappointed and regret for ever setting foot in this clinic. I hope others can learn from my mistake and avoid this place at all costs.

Saw me 3 hours after appointment, was literally allowing people ahead of me, and did not care. Mother ended up missing work for the day. I was telling them they did not care and proceeded to allow people ahead of me and they finally let me in close to 3pm. No treatment ended up being completed. They literally make us prep and then wait 4+ hours expecting our bodies to remain the same….I would never return nor would I recommend my worst enemy to visit

My mother had colonoscopy here in March 22 . They were so over booked and under staffed that injured her back when they moved her half conscious from bed to couch . She still suffers from injurie occured ..I'd avoid this place

I just had my first endoscopy. I was nervous because I've never been put under before. The whole staff is so lovely. Receptionist is warm and sweet, the nurses were both warm and comforting, and both the anesthesiologist and the doctor (dr. Richardson) both reassured me and were both lovely. The procedure was over so quickly and I woke up with no pain or discomfort.Thank you so much.

My appointment was at 11:30, ended up waiting over an hour to be seen.Their waiting room is small and the chairs are really uncomfortable. I kept asking when I’d be seen but didn’t get a solid answer. I would have loved a call telling me to come later. I fasted and had to wait so long.When I was finally taking in to be seen, the other waiting room had over filled garbage bags and didn’t seem the cleanest.Such a long winded reply to my review. Maybe spending time keeping appointments for your patients would be a better us of your time. The entire purpose of an appointment is to be seen at the appointed time. Don’t over book your gross clinic.

Four years ago I was at a clinic having a colonoscopy. And it failed! Because the doctor said my intestines were too crooked and he was afraid to go ahead and gave up! My family doctor ordered me to have a colonoscopy this year. Given my experience last time finding the Thornhill Endoscopy Centre, Dr.Devon Richardson was very skilled and the surgery was done in 20 minutes! She was nice and she explained it well and gave me a written report . I am glad to meet a good doctor, and I will continue to work with this doctor in the future!

I just had my gastronomy done with Dr Devon Richardson really nice caring down to earth doctor.I highly recommended her thanks a million doctor the health care system need more doctor like you keep up the awesome job.Thank you to the team as well.

Have tried to contact this office for 5 consecutive business days to follow up on a prescription refill request my pharmacy faxed over a week ago to Dr. Maharaj. All calls made went to a voicemail that stated they open from 7:30am to 3:30pm but when I call at 1:30pm, the message says “the office is now closed”. Very odd and misleading information. Office is not easy to get in contact with, especially when needing a refill on an urgent medication. Finally spoke to a receptionist and her explanation to the voicemail of them being closed is due to a “phone line issue”. As a big health care company responsible for patient care, simple phone line issues should be resolved in a timely manner.
