Fergus Fireplace

Absolutely disappointed with this store. Used them to service my wood stove but they have now implemented a new policy if you didn't buy it from them they will not assist. Asked if they were unable to service it or chose not to because I didn't buy it directly from them. They chose not to. Absolutely will never use them for anything including a new stove if that is what is required. Shame I found them great in the past. What a very short sighted policy. Not even in a hurry to get the service, they just didn't want the business.Please note response doesn’t cut it. I was in no hurry to get it serviced. They could have done this anytime between now and Christmas. Needed the wood stove serviced not the chimney cleaned.Policy if you didn’t buy from them they won’t service even if you used them in the past.

Very knowledgeable and professional staff. Ordered fireplace and additional installation of gas piping for range, dryer, and bbq. Piping was done quickly and once the fireplace came in, installation was done quickly and efficiently. With covid being an issue, we were concerned at having installers in our house for several hours. We were assured our installers were fully vaccinated thus making the whole experience better for all of us. Would recommend Fergus Fireplace.

Woody is knowledgeable and friendly when preparing quotes, Alice is efficient with logistics, and John is an outstanding installer. Upsetting I have to leave this review. Have had nothing but problems since purchasing the fire place. Independent installation (certified vendor) has caused a neglation to help from this organization. I've already paid for service calls from Fergus Fire place ($120 just to have someone look) and still not had the problem addressed. Roughly 2 years of ongoing issues and roughly $2500 spent.I'd recommend going elsewhere based on my experiance.

We wanted to update the gas fireplace upstairs and the wood burning fireplace in the basement. The new gas fireplace has much more radiant heat than the old, it provides a comfortable living room almost instantly when turned on. The slow wood burning fireplace insert downstairs is as efficient as can be and it makes a cosy environment to watch tv. With the fan on, it really helps to heat up the whole house. It's now been a year and we use both units more than ever before. Thank you for guiding us to the best choices possible for our house. Alain

I can't say enough about how good this place was with me. I had a really bad experience with a heating and fireplace company in Guelph and thought I would try another, after all I HAD to use one of them as my gas fireplace needed repair and it was starting to get a bit cool at night. So I called Fergus Fireplace and told them my issues. They ordered in the part required and the same week it came in, someone was at my place installing! It was rather quick and painless. Friendly staff and I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable bill. Needless to say I will be calling Fergus Fireplace for the yearly service to my fireplace and am feeling happy to do so! Thanks very much!!

My experience was disappointing to say the least.Have ordered products there before and they were helpful.NOT my experience this time!Called and asked about a switch for my Napoleon insert.They informed me they had suitable part but wouldn't sell it to me and I should contact a Napoleon dealer who should be providing parts to their customers.Not a good business ethic.Won't shop there again.Feeling disappointed at their attitude.
