We hired Don to rebuild a transmission in one of our trucks and after many weeks and several thousand dollars later it left his shop still not working properly. The rebuilt transmission lasted less than a year and completely failed again. The first thing he says to me is you know this is not under warranty anymore" and then proceeded to blame GM as the reason why the truck was not working right after the first time it was repaired. I would not recommend Dr. Don's transmission to anyone."

Best service out there, honest and trustworthy technicians. Took my car in for a funny noise i couldn't pinpoint, turns out I was missing bolts in my axle - saved my life!

I was having problems with my speedometer and my mechanic told me to take it here.I dropped my car off with out an appointment and they quickly fitted it in. The only reason for delay was waiting for a part from Toyota Toronto, when it had arrived it was quickly installed and I was happily back.on the road.I am definitely glad my mechanic insisted I take it to Dr. Don's Transmission.

I advise to think about taking any major work to this operation. Smaller things certainly okay. Rebuilt transmission? Hm... You won't see your vehicle again for a long time (many weeks) after saying only a week. The shop won't necessarily return your calls or answer the phone. You could be tearing your hair out if you need your car NOW. They might be fitting in other work instead of focusing on your job at hand. Final quality is unknown. Time will tell. ...UPDATE: The work seems to be very good. The transmission now runs like new, so the long wait and frustration is receding in the rear view mirror. Although Don is very knowledgeable and surely competent, it's a one-man operation. He's a very nice man, no doubt about it. But you might want to consider all options.

Good person .honest and hard working.he tells you the truth.and has great prices. And when ur car is done ur not broke.and he does amazing work for a fair price. I would recommend him to everyone
