Edit: Room was booked under BharathiOh God where do I start,My recent stay at the Abercorn Hotel was an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by an overwhelming and unpleasant odor that permeated the entire hotel. The smell was truly awful and made it difficult to even breathe properly.Aside from the unpleasant smell, the overall condition of the hotel was subpar. The rooms were poorly maintained and in desperate need of renovation. The furniture looked worn-out, and the carpets appeared dirty and stained. It was clear that the management had neglected the upkeep of the hotel.Adding to my dissatisfaction was the front desk service, particularly the behavior of the individual working at the front desk, an middle-aged Indian gentleman. The staff member was rude, unhelpful, and displayed a lack of professionalism. He seemed disinterested in providing any assistance and was dismissive towards guests.Customer service is an essential aspect of any hotel, and the Abercorn Hotel failed miserably in this regard. The poor attitude and unprofessionalism of the front desk staff further exacerbated the negative experience I had during my stay.Although, The morning staff led by 3 young people were very courteous and helpful. In particular I want to call out a young, possibly Nepali young guy, he was very helpful throughout our stay.Considering the terrible smell, the poor room conditions, and the horrendous front desk service, I cannot in good conscience recommend the Abercorn Hotel to anyone. It was a truly disappointing and regrettable experience that I will not soon forget.Also, the breakfast system was very unusual, everyone had to provide a token and this was enforced very strictly, we only had 2 tokens as they had ran out, the front desk (Indian middle-aged) said it won't be a problem, but then we were told that we need 2 for my kids at which point I had to go back to the front desk and get it written on the tickets that I had 2 kids, and the breakfast staff were unusual with this system.The condition and smell of the hotel was so bad we didn't even stay there half the time and mostly just stayed outside of the hotel

Easy walk to train station to go to Waterfront and city center . Close to Richmond Night Market. Rooms are nice. It's on older hotel, but comfortable. Breakfast was very good .They were doing work in the later morning, so it was noisy. A/C was noisy when it switched on, but I had a white-noise app that blocked the noise.

This is the worst of our hotel staying experience.The hotel front needs a good update. Air Canada has put us in this hotel as a result of their flight cancellation. What a bad decision for them to put us here. For Air Canada to use this hotel for their passengers, their standard is very low.Our room is smelly from the dirty shower curtain (with urine smell). The dark brown carpet is musty and dirty accompanied with a wet dog smell.We had to stay for 5-6 hours before the next flight so we decided to sleep with our clothes on.It was a totally unpleasant stay. The old urine smell is lingering and staying in the room all night. The urine smell from the shower curtain should have been detected by the management team just passing by that room. Having any guests stay in that room is unacceptable.

Great customer service. Things we were looking for in a hotel. EV charger, Pet Friendly, Clean, Moderately priced. The EV charger has been broken since November, so they really need to take that perk" off of their website. They are pet friendly. But there is just rocks and dirt for potty time. It was clean and we got an okay price. The breakfast was just okay. They definitely need more power outlets/phone charger adapters in the rooms. No microwave made heating up leftovers for my youngest quite difficult."

We stayed here before a 6 am flight. Ryan at the front desk was incredibly helpful and allowed us to check in early. The beds were clean and comfortable and the linens were very nice too. The building itself is aging but they're undergoing renovations and hopefully they don't lose the old world charm of this place.There are two restaurants in this hotel but we did not get to eat at either of them. It was a great location getting to the airport only took about 10 minutes. It's also right across the street from Costco and a 10 minute walk from the SkyTrain station. The only downside I would say is the proximity to the highway depending on what side of the hotel you're on. There was an incident at about midnight and we heard the sirens and horns for quite some time. If you're a light sleeper that might be a bit of an issue but otherwise it's a great place to stay.

No one informed me that they share the shuttle bus with Hampton inn. On the shuttle bus it only says Hampton inn. There is no sign on the bus showing it also goes to the abercorn hotel other than a very small letter sized piece of paper on the side of the bus, which is only visible when the bus is right in front of you. I called multiple times asking where to take the shuttle and when would it arrive, but no one bothered to tell me I should be looking for a Hampton inn shuttle. I have to wait for an hour to get on the bus because I didn’t recognize it and missed the first one.What is worse is that the Wifi is very slow, can not even load any picture with it. For someone travelling from abroad this is really a headache.Location is good though.
