Ambros Shoe Repair

Excellent service, I have taken multiple pairs of shoes here and they always explain how they will fix it, which I really appreciate. I recommend them to all my family and friends.

With the Awl Shop closing I found myself in a bind when the zippers on the expensive bag I use everyday broke. Calling around I was given Ambros’ name and though the repair was more than I expected it was well worth it for the professional repair. He even upgraded to a stronger zipper at no extra charge. Will be going to him for all my repairs from now on!

Wonderful gentleman running the place polished up my late father in law's cowboy boots. We were having them as part of the funeral service so I dropped them off and asked if he could rush the job considering the circumstances. I showed up shortly after and they looked fantastic! To top it off when I went to pay he said this is my final present to your father in law". What a great experience!"

I needed new soles on my cowboy boots. He was very friendly and very fairly priced. He did amazing work. They've been on these boots for two years of hard work and they still look damn near brand new which is awesome because the original soles only lasted a year

I've taken multiple pairs of shoes to fix to accommodate bunions and a hammer toe. Ambros did an excellent job. Went the extra mile to restretch them. Also repaired a pair of winter boots to like new. Very reasonable repair costs. I am bringing a pair of sandles that need Ambros's huge loving touch. This leather pair served me well for 10 years. I will find out if they are repairable. I am hoping.

As an avid shoe collector (over 100 pairs), when the time comes for repairs, I only trust a hand full of cobblers in Canada. Even though I am in the Greater Toronto area, there aren't any local repair shops that I will use.I found Ambros through word of mouth. I kept checking his pictures and decided to try him out.Andrew had to completely rebuild a vintage pair of Florsheim - new soles, midsole, welt, shanks, soles, and ribbing. Toe plates were extra. Andrew had never done the latter two repairs before but did a great job.He also rebuilt a pair of Blundstones with new soles, midsole, and shanks.Work was great and prices fair. Andrew gave lots of advice and time. I recommend Ambros Shoe Repair for all your footwear needs.

Visited twice to get some work boots repaired. Have been lucky enough to show up both times when black thread was in the machine and had them fixed right away! Great price and awesome work!
