This school is amazing! As a student here, I have come to be a part of such an amazing group of people that are not only my friends but people I can look at as mentors. There is always help available no matter the situation you are in and the teachers and staff are very caring and flexible with everything. You also get so much hands on experience that you will feel super comfortable in your new profession. I would highly recommend this school!

Big money grab, did the massage therapy program and tutoring is free which is nice but I had tutors cancel on me 10 minutes before I arrived and sometimes when being tutored they would be very distracted when their friends came in.The teachers were always very kind.I Was in a car accident and school threatened to kick me out for not showing up even though I had emailed someone informing them so they were very unorganized and didn’t communicate the best. Have about 40k in loans now, please avoid.

I booked a student massage. Showed up at the mall early and waited for my appointment. They called me less than 5 minutes before to cancel and were unable to re book it until 3 weeks later

Considering MaKami College ? Don't.Go to a 2200hr school. Don't waste your time. You will not come out ahead with any additional training or certification. Just $30,000.00 in debt with a basic understanding of massage therapy.

The new campus is great, and things are still being added! The faculty and staff are professional but also very approachable.I've gone for a few massages there and you can definitely see the skill progression that the students go through as going to the same student RMT 1 month apart is a different experience; not only in their skills and knowledge, but their confidence level as well!Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great massage at a bargain price.

MaKami College is a prime example of what every school in the world should strive to be like. The students were very friendly, the instructors and student advisers were very understanding and every time I would enter into this school I would see such positive attitudes and kind people. Some people may or may not have had the same experience I've had there, but overall I've found that many people in this college agree that this is a wonderful place to learn, improve your skills and take your career to the next level! I want to say thank-you to MaKami College and all the staff for changing my life in such a positive way.

The staff at Makami are all very friendly and helpful! The receptionist at the front desk always answers any questions you may have and try their best to find a solution to your problem! The student advisors are always available to meet with the students to help them with any issues they may have, whether it be with student loans, their class schedules or even finding a job. The student success center does an amazing job with tutoring the students and helping them catch up with anything they may have missed. The instructors are all very personable as well. This is a great school, they have all the resources to help their students succeed in the course.

I started my 3000 hour advanced clinical massage therapist program in September 2018. I finished the program April 2020 and while no one could have prepared for what happened in March, the school worked very hard to ensure our program wasn't negatively affected by the restrictions. We were able to graduate on time with some minor changes in the schedule, luckily for us we were basically at the point that all we had left for content was a few classes and a lot of review for our finals. With the changes that occurred we faced this together. Although graduating a program as such in a time where we couldn't practice took some wind out of the sails but hey not much we could do. Despite having not massaged someone for months, and all the new policies regarding massage for when it was opened, finding a new place of employment was fairly stress free given the situation, one interview had the RMT doing it saying I had a lot of knowledge in the field and at first I was like, nah no way but the program really gave me an edge, also my hard work but hey haha I'm humble. There were times in the program I was wondering why we did some of the requirements we did but I learned that it really helped me adapt to working with many people helped build my stamina and wasn't quite so exhausted after hours and hours of massage. I really appreciate the content we learned and the instructors for doing their best to ensure we understood the content. I'd say on average the program helps more students become better therapists than some of the other places however also know its very student dependent on applying the lessons learned. Thank you staff for trying their best to make the experience wonderful and as stress free as possible.

Tomorrow will be my 3 year anniversary as an employee at MaKami College.I heard mixed reviews about it before and thus started with mixed emotions, leaving my old job not knowing how everything will turn out.The last three years have been flying by, as it was only one month. I love my job, enjoy the company of my coworkers and in general the climate at the college. As with every workplace there are not only good days, but so far the good days have been the overwhelming majority. The communication with the students is generally positive. If have seen many instances where staff members have done everything in their power to help MaKami Colleges students succeed.Overall I find myself in a fun, supportive, and rarely ever boring environment.

Review from a deep tissue massage client. You can only book appointments on Mondays so if I forget that is bothersome. Generally it is a 3 week wait for an appointment and the students are hit and miss in quality (their experience ranges from a couple months into the course to almost 2 years). All that being said, this is a school and as such all of the above issues are to be expected. The price reflects what your are getting. I supplement my regular professional massages with appointments at the school. I know what I will be getting; these students are learning but they are always professional and friendly. I will continue to go and recommend to others who may be looking for a cheaper alternative and don't have serious, specified issues.
