Russell Aquatics Swim School

Still loving this swim school!My daughter has been going to Russell aquatics since she was 5.5 months old! She is now 5 and we still go! She has loved going to swimming since she was a baby. Even on her bad days, she is always comforted by the familiar staff, who are so so patient and accommodating with her. Every single instructor she's had has been amazing! The hiring process is clearly taken seriously, because every single one of the instructors, no matter their age, are attentive and professional while with the kids. However, they also make learning to swim super fun! The owners are the most genuine people. They know their customers personally and will go above and beyond to help you out if you have questions or concerns. The managers and supervisors definitely know what they're doing and run the place so smoothly. We've never had any issues going in and out of classes. And also important, I've never in my life seen a cleaner pool and change rooms! The staff definitely don't slack off in making sure their facility is clean for the kids. And most importantly, Russell Aquatics teaches children to swim to save their life. They make it fun, but they also teach kids to take it seriously. They don't use arm bands, they don't waste time playing in the water. Every game/activity/exercise done in the pool is with purpose. Would recommend to any parent serious about their kids leaning to swim.

One of the best swimming school for beginners! My daughter is 5 years old and she love the school, her swimming skills has improved a lot before when she go to beach she get scared from water now she love it ! Now she is swimming perfectly in beach or swimming pool . Highly recommended this place ! They have one of best teachers!!

Just finished the Parent and Tot Summer Session for our 6mo. old daughter. We were really impressed with the swim classes!- Cherilin at the front desk was professional and patiently answered our questions on the first day.- Instructor Alexia was friendly and encouraging with the babies.- Ample parking in front.- Quick check in system.- Clean change rooms and washrooms.* Need to register for 2 make-up classes and will update the review with our experience!

Experienced and caring instructors. The facility is also very appealing and clean. We were allowed to come for a free assessment before I enroll my son. We love coming to Russell Aquatics for our weekly session.

My 9 month old baby just completed fall and winter sessions at Russell and we had a wonderful experience. The facility is super clean and the receptionist is always smiling and welcoming. Colleen is an amazing instructor and we are so glad to have shared this experience with her leading the way. Shout out to Cassidy who helped us when our little one needed some extra attention.

My daughter started parent and tot with the city at 6 months old and then at 2yrs old we did swim lessons at a different swim school for a year but then we switched to Russell’s aquatics when she was 3 or 4 years old and it has been amazing ever since. She learned so much in such a short period of time compared to the other swim school we went to. The instructors take their time to really teach the children and are very good at handling the children being kids with sometimes not listening and what not. My daughter gained a lot of confidence in the water after doing swimming lessons here I felt more confident in the summer when we went to pools and beaches and on our vacation she was using all the tools she learned from Her instructors. They also take their time to access the children based on their abilities and don’t just move them up to the next level unless they are ready and have master the skills they need to move up. I highly recommend Russell’s Aquatics. The owners, front desk staff and all the instructors are friendly and welcoming. The facility is very clean, even pre covid times there was someone coming in and cleaning the washrooms and change rooms regularly. It’s a well taken care of facility… I am big germaphobe and I know change rooms and swimming areas are a breeding ground for bacteria, but I don’t feel anxious about cleanliness here because it’s always clean and that makes me happy.Highly recommend, my daughter is only 6 years old now so I can’t wait to see how far she’s going to come in her swimming abilities with Russell Aquatics!

Facility : Clean, viewing room is great.App: is great & user friendly.Instructors:We have been with them for about 2 years now.The first year we had 3 different (female) instructors. They all have been great all appeared to be genuinely interested in teaching the students techniques and were paying attention to each students progress.This past year we had 2 ( male ) instructors.We are not pleased. My son has not progressed with the past two instructors compared to the past three.The male instructors we have had are always looking at the clock, I haven’t seen them teach any new techniques, it looks like they have been doing the same thing the past two seasons which is very disappointing.They don’t seem interested in being there or teaching these kids.My parents took our son to class one day and noticed our son wasn’t on the platform at one point and the instructor didn’t notice and you can tell my son was struggling my mother in law was tapping on the glass to grab someone’s attention , she has notified management about this.Anyways, we are giving this place one more shotHoping September we will see improvements

Amazing instructors! My son had an amazing instructor -Olivia. She's always smiling and you can see and feel her excitement the moment my child was able to float and swim. We have been here for a couple years and each instructor has been patient and wonderful.

SO happy to have both of my littles in swimming at Russell Aquatics! I drive over 40 mins one way and it is more than worth it! Cannot recommend them enough and we will be customers for life!
