I requested that the journeyman fix it, I then find out that they only have one journeyman mechanic, and that the tech" who initially attempted the alignment wasn't even an apprentice!Journeyman there is great

The best work done, I was searching for an honest and reliable auto mechanic in edmonton town. And I can say I found one finally . Best rates compares to the market and honest advisor and workmanship. Unlike other who will just try to scare and convince you to spend more even though it is not even required at that moment.

I arrived from Montreal needing my car checked for general maintenance. Had an outer tie rod, rear brakes and oil change done for a total of 720$.The owner showed me the state of my rusted frame, which my mechanic back home omitted to tell me. He let me know that repairing it would cost more than my car’s worth.Upon asking if my car was worth keeping and how long I had left on it, he said he couldn’t tell me a timeframe but insinuated that when I get back home from my travels, I could sell it for more than I would here. So when he mentioned this I clearly asked “So you’re telling me I could drive back home to Quebec?” (~4500km Drive) to which he said yes. So I went along with the recommended maintenance.Afterwards, I went to an online car community with hobbyists and mechanics. Initially looking for solutions to slow the wear of my frame. Instead everyone unanimously warned me of the danger and to get rid of my vehicle ASAP. I also showed the pictures to another local Edmonton mechanic, the same opinion was immediately voiced.The owner gave me a partial refund for the labor cost but refused to assume the cost of the parts.Extremely negligent for his clients safety, had no problems sending me on a coast to coast drive with my car in its current state. Photos were taken in his shop on the date of inspection.

I've never been to a place where they refused to install a part... because the car didn't need it. The car had a leak on one of the two power steering lines, but I bought parts for both lines as I didn't know exactly which one(s) had the leak. The mechanic inspected the other line, and knew that it was fine. Same goes for another instance where I bought an extra tie rod part that was unnecessary. Saved me money, and just said it as it is. Very fair prices, and solid service.

Had to bring my car in twice recently (for unrelated issues) and my car was done the next day both times. They are very quick and more affordable than other mechanics. Having a student discount is also very nice, just wish it was advertised more.

I had major front end work done on my vehicle the end of June at another shop. After the cold spell in December, I started getting a clunk under the front passenger side of my car. I called to see if I could take it in to be looked at and had an appointment the next morning. They actually took the vehicle in at the scheduled time, listened to my description of the problem, checked it over and had it back to me within the hour. Turns out some bolts were loose and just needed tightening. Customer service was excellent along with the price to fix it. I would highly recommend this business if you are looking for honest, fair, and decent workmanship. I can’t say “thank you” enough.

West end auto repair was a great service to me in helping with my car’s electrical issues. They also did rotors, calipers and an oil change and my car is now running in good condition. Thanks to them for also giving me a ride and waiting after closing to accommodate me!

My car needed alignment, needed O2 sensor replaced, and traction control needed to be fixed. I live in the west so I called them to book an appointment, I got the car towed to their workshop on time with a mutual understanding that the car will be returned the next day. The next day the told me the car is ready, I come to pick-up the car and paid them cash. While I was driving home, I noticed the alignment wasn't done, O2 sensor wasn't replaced, and traction control was still not working. I bring the car back to the workshop they said that they will look at the car tomorrow because they are looking for after other customers in a very ignoring manner. I leave the car with them. The next day (3rd) day I call them at noon and ask them if they did the alignment, and fixed traction control, Khalid told me they haven't looked at the car yet and will give me a call in the evening when it is done. That evening, I waited for their call and close to their closing time I decided to give them a call myself, Khalid, the guy on the front desk picks up and says the mechanic is test driving the car right now. By the time I got to the shop the car was back. When I test drove the car, alignment wasn't done properly (it was pulling towards left), they had not fixed traction control…told me that they forgot about it, even though I reminded them at noon same day, and they lied to me that O2 sensor that I bought the wrong Oxygen sensor. I told Khalid that it is not aligned he said my mechanic did the alignment, I asked Khalid to test drive the car himself he refused saying he doesn't have time for a test drive and the car may needs a tire rotation. When I asked Khalid what he had charged me $191.00 for, he said it is for alignment and diagnostic. Basically, he charged $110.00 for not doing the wheel alignment and $70.00 for diagnostics when he didn't diagnose anything. He didn't even find out why the traction control is not working as he had forgotten to look at it, it was my own diagnosis that O2 sensor needs to be replaced so I had bough the O2 sensor and gave it to him to replace which he didn't saying it's the wrong part I bought. After that they stopped answering my call.Later, when I changed the O2 sensor myself, I found out that they had broken the O2 sensor connector mount by pulling it violently.I lost $291.00 (inclusive towing cost $100.00) and 3 days by taking my business to these folks. MORAL of the story is that these guys have low morals are just after your money, they are ignorant, feed lies, unprofessional, they don't know what they are doing on top of everything they have the have the worst customer service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEIR WORKSHOP.
