Wow where do I start about Jennifer...I first met Jen over a year ago when she welcomed me into her home for a meeting about my wedding inquiry. As soon as she opened the door I was overhelmed with her warm, bubbly personality and she became an instant friend. In this past year, I have done a gorgeous boudoir photoshoot with Jen for my hubby, as well as our engagement photos, and our wedding at the end of the summer. My boudoir shoot, well, Jen can make any girl feel and look beautiful. Our engagement photos were such a blast at the beach and me and my guy were more then comfortable with Jen posing us, sharing ideas, and letting her creativity work its magic. August 18, 2012 she shot our wedding day.. we had SO much fun. Getting to have all your photos + a video to relive your wedding day over and over is THE best gift any photographer can give to you. Not a single memory, moment, tears or laughter was missed. NOTHING compares to Jennifers photography and NOBODY compares to this girl... Jennifer was recommended to me by a mutual close friend who's taste never strays from anything but brilliant. When meeting Jennifer for the first time it was like we had been friends forever. I know that sounds silly but that's the truth. She was so kind and wonderful and had so much personality that we instantly clicked. I genuinely believe we crossed paths for a reason. Over the future months we had a few meetings about the direction we wanted our wedding photos to go in and I honestly was a bit stuck. I had never gotten married before ?? what were the right poses and photo configurations ?? what kind of lighting would have me looking my best on my big day ?? Having faith in the experience, I trusted Jenn's expertise and the photos turned out to be nothing short of amazing. She was so much fun on the day of our wedding and she genuinely felt like part of the family. If I could get married once a year I would just so Jennifer could take some more spectacular photos. If you want high quality wedding photography and the personality to go with it Jennifer Jayde Photography will not fall short, even though she's a little bit tinier then me and I'm 5'3 on a good day. Jennifer Jayde is absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married in March of this year and upon searching for a photographer we came across Jen’s website. Once we saw Jen’s work, my husband and I both knew that we had to have her photograph our big day! We also ended up booking an engagement shoot with her as well. Our photos turned out beautifully. Jen shot our intimate in-home wedding this past February, and we couldn't have been happier with her talents and the comfortable experience. After searching all of Vancouver Island for a photographer, that I felt would portray our love story on film, my husband and I found Jen. We had some friends mention Jen's name so we quickly went online to see some of her work and read a little bit about who she is. After viewing almost every picture on her website we contacted her for a meeting. It is rare to find a photographer where there isn't one picture in their portfolio that you don't like, we found that with Jen. Meeting her far exceeded our expectations, she immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We did an engagement shoot with Jen shortly after to warm up to the idea of being in front of a camera and it only confirmed our decision. I had fallen in love with Jen's images from seeing her blog through a friend, even before we were engaged. As soon as my fiancé proposed, I sent a little wish to the heavens that Jen would be available (and affordable) for our wedding. I actually emailed her and told her we would pick a wedding date that she already knew she had free, because I didn't want anyone else!She was available, affordable, and yet so much more! Jen is friendly and easy-going, helping to put everyone at ease. She was discreet and never in the way at the wedding, and yet the images are so personal and full of emotion, it's like I'm back at my wedding day all over again! She is so helpful, and always had answers to all of my questions, and was such a pleasure to work with!The quality of our images is unrivalled, everyone who has seen them is completely blown away! If you work with Jen, you can rest easy knowing your images will be classic, timeless, and tasteful (with your own personal edge or flair!). Advice to future brides? Absolutely pick a photographer who's images move you, and have them for as many hours throughout the day as possible! On your wedding day, you will be sooooooo incredibly busy and overwhelmed, and it's so nice to have a photographer who you can trust to do the job perfectly. Once the day has come and gone, you won't have anything left other than your photos, and your photos will likely be the only opportunity you will ever have to see many of the small details and moments of your wedding that you will be too busy to notice on the day. Jen was the photographer for our wedding in July of this year. Also, she did an engagement shoot for us leading up to the big day. She even took the time to meet with us at our home while we were still in the decision-making stage of which photographer to hire from our short list. At every stage Jen was the consummate professional and perfectly present while not being intrusive or in the way. Jen made us feel comfortable and relaxed which was very important to Leslie and I throughout the process. As for the pictures - well, they are terrific. I was drawn instantly to Jennifer's unique and edgy pictures when doing an internet search for local options for our wedding. When I first met with her to arrange our photographer, I knew she was the one. Jennifer is organized and professional but also has a humble and down to earth way about her that makes a client feel comfortable.
