I went to Janelle's Kitchen just now for brunch. I felt like I was back in Paris, in a lovely little village, having breakfast. This place is absolutely charming and actually makes you feel nostalgic about France, if you have been there. And the food is fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious! Janelle came up to me to ask me if I enjoyed the meal. That is special. And the server, Lenny is friendly, warm, and kind. Both Janelle and Lenny seem like genuine human beings. I can sit here for hours because the ambience just grabs you. It is small, warm, and inviting - also feels like you are sitting in the kitchen of someone you love while they are preparing a meal for you right in front of you. So grateful I found this place. Can't wait to go back!

One of Toronto's best kept secrets. Tiny place, very limited seating, good for intimate dining, nice, clean, well prepared food. This place has a very homey and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back

Couldn’t have enjoyed our meal here more. We stopped in with our baby and Janelle and the other server (didn’t catch their name) were so friendly and accommodating. (Note - there is a change table jn the washroom). Breakfast sandwich is to die for. But recommend also not missing out on the scone buttered with the freshest tasting strawberry jam. All very affordable for brunch downtown. The best part however was the feeling you have of warm coziness and and knowing that the food is made with lots of love and joy.

Wow, believe the 5 star rating! 4 years at this location.Breakfast sandwich was outstanding, cappuccino was great too.Very cozy atmosphere, not suited for groups larger than 3. Perfect date spot for breakfast brunch or lunch.Probably underpriced, $20 with tip included.Classical music and walls covered by paintings of local artists for sale.A little noisy from College St traffic but doesn't diminish a unique experience.I'll be back here soon.

Takes a while to get service since it's just the owner by herself, but oh man is it worth the wait! Everything is so deliciously crafted, from the bread, to the food. I would 100% come back for breakfast or lunch, or even just coffee and a pastry. It's a small space but feels like a cozy and artsy space.

The best things in life are reading, napping, and scrambled eggs - and only the scrambled eggs from Janelle's Kitchen. This cozy home-kitchen nook is one of my favourite lunch spots with comfort food, jazz on the radio and cottage-style decor. The owner Janelle is so sweet and friendly, it feels like your aunt is cooking for you. I always get the breakfast sandwich with prosciutto chips and warm, buttery and moist scrambled eggs. Janelle is very accommodating with customizations so I always jack the sandwich up with avocado and tomatoes. I also like the smoked salmon with horseradish sauce, scrambled eggs and potato rosti. I like to unwind with the comforting and affordable food, surrounded by the works of local artists on the walls, and in a soothing ambience livened by the conversations of the many regulars.

Tiny but absolutely lovely breakfast spot in the Little Italy neighborhood. The vibes are delightfully relaxing and the staff is so friendly. Food-wise, we enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and the smoked salmon & eggs. The soup we got was also amazing. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Ideally, group sizes of 1-2 would be best. A strong recommend for anyone in the neighborhood.

I get the breakfast sandwich once a month or so. If we're wanting a lazy weekend morning, Janelle's is our go-to take-out default. The food is always amazing, the service is wonderful, the vibe is cozy and welcoming.
