Nice place. I have attended a few Monello's special events, and bought a piece of very unique art at one of them. This is the only local venue of which I am aware that routinely hosts art shows. The tapas were delicious at each event, and of a different style each time, as they have a rotating cast of chefs. The decor is very modern. Smoked drinks are on offer, as well as cigars. Overall, this is a unique venue and I am glad it's around. I took the attached photo from Monello's back patio while having a smoked old-fashioned and cigar.

A perfectly poached egg - perhaps the best I've ever had. The crab Benny was carefully balanced, with neither too much crab not too little hollandaise. The restaurant was very clean, and felt cozy yet bright. Service was welcoming. We'll be returning, with friends.

A good friend recommended this place for my wife and I to check out, it did not disappoint ! The drinks were fancy and delicious. The hors d'oeuvres were great. One thing is that - it is a more upscale place so keep that in mind when picking outfits.

Thanks google for helping us find this little gem. Quirky place, with locally sourced ingredients. Chef clearly loves what he does and takes great pride in the food he produces. The sourdough waffles are amazing, very big portion. Could easily be shared by two. Pork belly on Brie was incredible. Had our daughter who’s a bit picky and they whipped up something not on the menu to help us out! Highly recommended.

Service was absolutely perfect. Very friendly and gave us recommendations on things to do since we were visiting the area. Menu was different and exciting. I enjoyed all of the food we ordered but even if you end up not loving the food it is worth it to just try something different than your normal restaurant. Had my post wedding brunch here and the staff were so sweet and amazing. And the food was DELICIOUS! Only amazing things to say about this place

Best meal I’ve had in a longg time. Absolutely delicious. Food was light but satisfying, creative and left us licking our plates clean! Unpretentious atmosphere (unlike other high end restaurants) and what we loved most was the “chef-run” theme. No servers, only different chefs bringing you each dish and describing it in detail. 10/10 will come back.

Came across Monello’s downtown St. Catharines. First impression was that it’s a classy little place but at same time it’s casual nice. We ordered the individual charcuterie. It was a large portion well enough for two people. We also ordered the Strawberry Mojito and the Smoked Old Fashion drinks, which was entertaining just being served. The staff was delightful and welcoming. I can’t say anymore besides come check it out and that we will be back!!! 5/5
