SG Hair Design

I'm giving them 3 stars because the hairstylist was nice and courteous otherwise, but he would not listen and made assumptions that left me in tears after. I came to this salon to get my first curly haircut. I kept telling the hairstylist that I have wavy hair. He proceeded to do everything you're not supposed to do. He washed my hair starting with scalding hot water. He cut my hair wet, which was a trim meant for straight hair. He finished off with blow drying my hair on strong heat with the round brush to straighten it. I felt like I was not taken seriously as an Asian with wavy hair. I was treated like waves are inauthentic curls and that Asians can't have curly hair.

It has been years since I’ve walked out of the salon and liked my hair without having to cut a bunch of it myself again or waiting a week for it to get used to the cut! I am thrilled to have found a curly salon that works for me with availability and at a price I can afford. Danica, thank you SO MUCH for helping me love my hair again! ❤️

Dina is the best hairstylist - she is honest and she cuts my hair in a way I can wear it both straight or curly.I do a tzone colour every 6 weeks - and the best part is that SG Hair Design has a 15 min permanent colour application ….so I no longer have to wait 45 min!So happy!!!! Great service

I saw Danica at SG and she was amazing! She thoroughly discussed what I wanted to do with my hair and achieved the exact look I wanted. Very happy with my results! I highly recommend going to see her if you have curly hair.

Fantastic location, staff and service!I had my hair cut done by Amer. He is a professional, kind, and experienced hairstylist .I am usually hesitant of trying new places but SG Hair design is one the best places I have gone to.

I had my hair done by Amer for a Deva cut and he never fails to disappoint. I’m terrified of cutting my hair short and time after time he always delivers exactly what I want. I have a very sensitive scalp but he has a very gentle hand and never once during the appointment so I feel pain when he detangles my hair.Excellent service! 10/10 would recommend!

Friendly and talented stylists. Kelly did an amazing job on my curly hair, she also cuts my daughters wavy hair. Kelly listens to what you want for a style and gives great advise on colour and style.

My colour and highlights were done by Danica who was excellent and no complaints there.At checkout however I was charged $47 for “curly style “ which I didn’t know about. I didn’t have a haircut or have a blow dry, just some curling product through wet hair and sat under the dryer for 15 minutes.$47 to sit under a dryer??? Sorry you’ve lost me for sure.

First time getting a curly cut and meeting Dina. It was such a great experience. She is very knowledgeable and does not make you feel shy or afraid to ask questions. Great customer service and experience as a stylist. I found this salon and Dina through Google reviews and I got to say, the reviews were spot on.I wanted a dramatic cut to remove my damaged hair and start the process of bringing back my curl patterns. She delivered !!! Already have my next appointment booked :)
