Kal Tire

Went there for tire repair. Told me I needed 3 new tires. Took it to a different shop and they said tires are find, fixed it for me.Can help but think they were just trying to up sell me for no good reason.

Sherwood Park, Alberta.Tires: RoadX WU01 Snow Tires.Size: P255/50/19 Winter ratedCar:  2022 Audi SQ5A few months ago, I had these tires installed on a 2022 AUDI SQ5.  P255/50/19   I chose to go with used 19 inch OEM rims instead of sticking with the 21 inch OEM rims that the car came with.  The tires are a little softer which is OK in the winter, right?  They feel like they are floating, but maybe that's the softer riding feel that the 19's are giving me, rather than the harder rigid summer-only tires that the car comes with from the factory.  They have good grip and are quiet.  The angular tread pattern holds the car in the corners.  I tried some panic-stops in the deep snow during our first snowfall and the car stopped hard and fast.  I also appreciated their deeper tread-depth too.  I have a 1000 kilometers on them, so I can't say how long they will last, but being traded out with the summer-only tires in the summer, I am sure they will last a few winters.  They are not a uni-directional tire, but they do have an outside and an inside as marked on the tire.  I like the idea that they can be rotated from side-to-side or in a X pattern, whatever I choose to do.  They are an *offshore* tire... and which country they come from, I'm not sure... but I said to myself, if I get an offshore tire, I wanted to buy them from a popular tire dealership like KAL-Tire, rather than from somebody's house or a discount tire clearance shop.  Minimal stick-on weights/balancing required to make them usable.  Free lifetime balancing and flat repair is always nice to have too.Dean SimpsonSherwood Park, Alberta.

We brought our car in this spring to have our all-season tires swapped from winter tires on our factory rims. First highway road trip the whole car starts vibrating so the thought is the wheel balancing wasn't done correctly. Brought the car back to them and every single wheel was out at least 2oz, which makes me suspect the wheels weren't balanced whatsoever after swapping tires.Now they were nice enough to re-balance everything free of charge, but I can't see us returning again to this business for tire swaps or for new tires.

I was so impressed with this business. They went out of their way to help me. Gave me great information and were very quick with my service. I 100% recommend them to anyone.Thank you so very much.

My OnStar on my Terrain sent me a notification my tire air pressure was low. Went to this location on lunch break and the guys were so helpful. Peter filled the air in two tires and checked all of them for me and advised me to get checked for an air leak if tire gets that low again. I always get GREAT SERVICE from this Kal Tire and I always recommend for any tire needs! Thanks again guys!

The staff at this Kal Tire know the meaning of Customer Service! Made an appointment to check out a tire that went flat...car got in right away, was done in about 20 mins and because we bought the tires from them, there was no charge! While I was there , another happy customer dropped off donuts for the staff in appreciation for work they did for her...they offered to me as well!Its the little things that make the difference...Well done Kal Tire...merry Christmas and happy new year!

I took my truck back in August, to have all my tires re-balanced after finding some weights had fallen off. I was finally able to change my tires for the winter and I noticed one of my rims had been scratched (which what looks like a flat head screw driver was used) to take off the remaining weights that had not fallen off. A little bit of the weight adhesive I can forgive and remove myself, but scratching off the paint and gouging rims not cool. I am lucky they are aluminum rims and won't rust but I'm not impressed. I will be going back here for any tire services.

Woke up to a flat tire - great! Called around to try to find somewhere to get it patched and everywhere in SP wanted me to leave it for the night. For a 20 minute patch. Except these guys. I was able to get it in same day and was fully expecting it to be kept all day so they could squeeze it in between jobs but they got it back to me in less than an hour. I was amazed. They explained everything and the price was super reasonable (I can't remember what I paid). Definitely recommend taking your car here for all tire needs.

Efficient. First thing in the morning. I was the second customer of five. The man remembered talking to me when I booked the appointment two days ago, and remembered a symptom i mentioned to him.I first started coming here last fall because the people in Fort Saskatchewan were completely unresponsive to me when I walked in and stood in front of the counter. Every time I phone the Kal Tire in St. Albert, they immediately put me on hold.These folks answered the phone, took my booking and remembered what I told them.
