I went down there to see if they would do a background check for the job I just got. They asked what type and I told them, they gave me a list of places that would do it and they said was only 2 places that would in all of Edmonton that would do it. So I went to the place that was closer to my location, the commissionaries, only to be told by them that they do not do background checks for the type of job I have and that they should have collected the appropriate information before sending me to the wrong location.Long story short, they were a bit rude to me when I said the background check was for a job, they said “Yeah, they are always for jobs but what kind of job”.. background checks can be for many things not just jobs like for adoptions, post-secondary and a travel or work visa or permit.They also gave me 2 locations, yes the second location worked which is why I gave them 2 stars and not 1 star but the first location was closer and of course I would visit there first. You would think an RCMP detachment would actually know where you can get and not get certain background checks.

Wouldn’t want to inconvenience the office staff so they start construction at 12am to inconvenience whole neighbourhood.

If I could rate them zero i wouldI had an accident now because I can't get to them to give statement or a report in another city they want to charge meWhat's happened to justice????I had no intent to do this on purpose and was under the impression you have do a crime to be chargedThese are same people when you call them they don't come for crime !!They increase our every year they say it's for the war on drugs!I don't know about you or pretend to understand different ways of life people are living now a days but we are finding increase lack of service and very little work ethics from people that go after the hard working person with unreal fines etc speeding if you want speeding to stop hand out lic suspentionNo they hide behind things to point a speed fun and use cameras to catch people going 5 km over I assume to keep numbers up there for it's a money grabThey sit in cars with more distractions and they charge others for using their phoneIf you walk in to police station to report a crime they give you phone number and say call the policeAnd we wonder why people who break the law are laughting

Staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to get my background check done in 2 days. Don't forget your physical reference letter, and 2 pieces of ID, and it should go smoothly.

They have no honor in upholding their Oath and delivering their duty to Accommodate and revert back to the way they treated Cst Dhillon in 1980..They discriminated against him because of his faith... Your Edmonton detachment officers have no respect for their ICCPR duty to accommodate and are breaching 180 of the criminal code...

I experienced outstanding customer service yesterday. I was at Sherwood Park detachment 5 min to closing to report a wildlife hit and officer took her time to walk me through process and stayed more than 20min past closing to finish my report and get me all required paperwork. I would like to express my gratitude.
