Gong Cha Chinatown - Bubble Tea
Had a large earl grey with 3J. I found it pretty good as the taste of the tea was very strong, which I like. The toppings were tasty too. Service was fast, but I found that employees could be a little more energetic. I also found their large size of cups to be rather small (for me, it ressembles the regular size of some other bubble tea shops), so it makes their products a little pricier.

We ordered a strawberry smoothie with 30% sugar and it was still super sweet, I could literally see the grains of sugar in my drink.

Gong Cha Chinatown - Bubble Tea
Came here for lunch with my friend, the guy taking our order was quite slow and rude. He almost gave my friend who is lactose intolerant a drink with dairy but the other worker corrected him. It was quite busy but we got our drinks quickly. The service from the other workers was great, our drinks were tasty as always.

I had Lychee Milk Tea, Mango Latte, and Original Waffle. Lychee Milk Tea and Waffle were great, but I was not a fan of the mango pearls.

Love this place. Their salted milk foam is a nice touch to their classic black tea. They have a large selection of drinks and they can get pretty busy. The tea quality is good; you can taste it through the rich creamy milk. The wait times can vary, but the staff are friendly and hard working. I'd say Gong Cha is way more reasonable (at this point) than similar establishments and the black tea taste is stronger at Gong Cha for their classic milk teas.

I absolutely LOVE bubble tea and Gong Cha successfully helps cure those cravings. My personally favourite is the QQ passion fruit drink with pearls and coconut jelly.

Update 2018: My last visit was great, the employee was able to accommodate my drink and I wasn't charged for no ice modification. That deserves a 5* and I would go back again.One of my favorite bubble tea place has finally opened in Calgary. I ordered the Earl Grey with 3J (Pearls, Grass Jelly and Pudding). It taste great and the 3J compliments well with the drink and providing various texture. The service was adequate for their opening so my visit went smoothly.
