Hey everyone , just wanted to give Tristan and Scott the recognition they deserve. This place and the people were amazing. I know when trying something new we can be nervous and worried. But me and my children (12 and 9) all came to classes for the first time tonight and all felt comfortable and enjoyed every minute.Both Tristan and Scott are extremely knowledgeable and great with the kids as well as the adults from beginners to advanced levels. It was a truly exhilarating experience that the children and I all enjoyed immensely.If your currently looking for a martial arts studio or even anything active for you and your kiddos I seriously recommend trying a class or two here first I promise you you won’t be disappointed. The gym is extremely clean , bright and comfortable. And the trainers take the time to guide you through the steps. So do your self a favour and go down and chat with them now

My son started going to The Fort a couple months ago, and all I can say is WOW! I am blown away with how Hands on the instructors are with the kids. My son loves going and pushes himself during class. My son really looks up to one of the instructors (Jonah) who has been working closely with him and teaching my son important life lessons (like forward thinking and problem solving while controlling his emotions). Only regret is not putting him in sooner!

Great gym with classes throughout the day. The training partners are great and is suitable for all levels, with the beginner friendly environment. The instructors Scott and Tristan are top notch who go above and beyond for their students. Easily the best place in Fort Mac. OSS

I am so excited to be apart of The Fort Martial Arts coaching staff. The owners invested an incredible amount of time & heart putting together an academy dedicated to the development of martial arts as a whole & for the betterment & improvement of each individual athlete. The importance of creating a 'home' for our fellow martial artists to develop & grow in a team & family environment was so essential for Scott & Tristan. Newcomers & drop-ins are welcomed no matter level of experience or club affiliations in a clean facility with high quality equipment/mats, passionate & experienced coaching team.

I was welcomed into their facility as a visitor from out of town. Super clean facility, friendly group, disciplined instruction followed by some tough rounds. Everything you would want in a bjj class Can't wait to go back, highly recommend !

The Fort has been an amazing place to push my self and make new life long friends. I love the clean mats, knowledgeable instructors, the amazing people and using the sauna after classes. Thank you Scott, Tristan, Rex, Christine and Shelby.

From day 1 the coaches and staff have been professional, genuinely friendly and most importantly character-oriented. What started as a self-defense interest for my school-bullied son turned into a an extra curricular sport for all thr kids... and now mom too. Ladies Jiu-Jitsu is the most amazing 2nd family. Everyone here is zero-ego and actually train you ... no judging always encouraging. You can't help but learn such an important lifeskill in a clean and positive environment.Highly recommended for anyone of any age group or fitness level. Amazing martial artists and even better people! With all their accomplishments in the fight scene they remain the most humble people I've met! They have endured the hardships Fort McMurray has seen in the last decade with fires and floods but still put their community first before their business as well as themselves. I’ve been going to the Fort since it opened and the facility and staff are great. Very clean, stylish and modern training environment. The Zen Planner app is a great app they use to track your attendance and book your spot for the classes. Also great to see if your friends are coming as well. Amazing training staff with expert instruction and classes for all skill levels. The classes are growing each week which speaks volumes for the high quality training and facility Scott and Tristan have brought to our community. So glad to be a part of such a great team with all those amazing people.
