Collegeview Commons: Modern Student Housing

Left me with the WORST roommate, completely ignored when she trashed my apartment and ghosted me for weeks after she moved out. No compensation for all of MY stuff that she destroyed. She’d had previous issues with her old roommates and they moved her in with me anyways. I’ve been stuck in an unliveable apartment for months and management kept breaking promises to move me / clean it.

Great price to live, slightly above the average price but it's worth for the benefits. The staff is always very helpful and attentive. Yukti helped me find a great appartment and her help was invaluable.

Collegeview Commons is located at 200 Old Carriage in Kitchener, Ontario. The location is great for students who attend Conestoga College's Doon or Cambridge campuses. The bus route is right at the front of the place. Many shopping places are nearby and very convenient to reach. The design and layout of the building is good and welcoming. The only problem I could see is the parking as there are too many of them while the space seems to be less than needed. I also would like it more if they keep the great condition and cleanliness that I see improving.

I normally don't write reviews because I don't have time for it but I couldn't let this one slide. My guarantor bailed on me last minute so I didn't end up moving into my room and I made the mistake of paying for my room before moving in. A simple refund was denied and till this day they couldn't give me a reasonable response, even paid for insurance and didn't get that refund too. Don't make the mistake of paying before you move in, you'll regret it.

If you want to live in a sauna (because their A/C is always broken!) with lots of roaches and bed bugs while getting no sleep and studying done cause of the constant loud parties, collegeview commons is your pick! Their entire management is incompetent and the building Manager" Michele Aubut

I would give a 0 if possible – do not move in here if you have other options. Management is extremely rude, do no work, and try to scam you for more money.The staff here don’t do any work. There’s so much misinformation between them even when you’re settling things like paperwork, asking questions about the unit, things you need to be aware of, requests you make to them, etc. Staff members will just keep passing you around and no one at the office (if you could even call it that) will actually deal with an issue if you have one.Prior to moving in when I was looking at the room I’d be moving into, there was pesticide spray everywhere and some of the furniture was broken. I asked them if they’d clean and fix it before I moved in and they said yes. I come back the following week to sign paperwork and find that nothing was fixed or cleaned, so I politely asked them again to which they said the same thing. I come back next week to pick up the keys, still not cleaned nor is the furniture fixed – in the end, I fixed the furniture and cleaned the entire room myself.Also, because I was signing a four month lease from Sept – Dec (as opposed to an eight month), they requested I pay four months rent upfront because I didn’t have a guarantor (which is illegal to do by the way) and even increased the monthly rent price from the regular one by a bit because it was a four month lease. I ended up paying it anyways because I was in a bit of a pinch to find housing for school.But what’s even more outrageous is that during the last month of my tenancy they say that I didn’t pay my Dec rent, and when I e-mailed them stating that I did (with receipts) they took two weeks to reply to my e-mail after I gave them my unit number (probably spent that two weeks thinking of an excuse) and said that one of my payments went towards LMR (last month rent) which is stupid because my LMR is Dec… which I paid upfront.This place genuinely has the most disgusting and rude management I’ve ever seen, especially the head office lady - she yells over you, cuts you off, and doesn’t even treat you like a human. They try to scam students out of money here and there whenever possible, and they don’t fix or address any problems. Do not move in here if possible.

They tell people to give fake reviews, building is infested with cockroaches. They said the gym was getting new equipment and continue to lie about this. They scam people and once you have moved in you’re essentially trapped. Completely unethical way to take advantage of broke students. Just be aware of the broken equipment in gym and cockroaches before signing. Don’t have proof about the fake reviews, but I have heard from people in the building that if you give a good review you can get some kick backs. Overall bad experience!

I am only giving this place 1 star because Google doesn't allow you to leave 0 stars. This apartment loves to brand themselves as luxury living" with their cafe and grocery store and numerous other amenities but won't spend the money on fixing broken things from these amenities or on real issues like a 3+ year long cockroach infestation. Management

If you are in Conestoga this is the building to rent! I have been here for almost 4 years and still couldn’t find a better place than this. Staff here is really helpful specially one of their employee “Yukti” who helped me with issues like referral bonus or guiding me for rental insurance and lot of rental related queries.
