I've eaten Mapo Tofu in 5 different countries. It's my favorite. Funny enough, I haven't tried the dish in China yet, but according to everyone I know, this place has the most authentic Szechuan cuisine.Unsurprisingly, I love it. The combination of spiciness, heat, numbing sensation, and tart finish from the minced ginger harmonize to create an impact. You will suffer as every single sensation I just stated will attack your taste buds and trigger your pain receptors before revealing an awesome flavour. Kind of like the dopamine rush you'd experience after running 5 km and you feel great despite every muscle in your body screaming at you. Anyway, best Mapo Tofu. It's the only thing I'll order and these people know their stuff and do it well.

Great service. Food is good for people who never has Sichuan food and wants to give it a shot. However, food is not authentic at all and portion is small. Mostly likely I will not come back.

Two of us tried this place for dinner on a weekday as it was near one of our offices. We we pleasantly surprised at very good service, very delicious food (we ordered two beef items and steamed rice) and very good portions. While not upscale place, the restaurant is more than pleasant for lunch or dinner and there are quite a few tables with good spacing so you don't feel cramped or too close to the next table. Also, one of the servers spoke pretty good English so we were able to get our questions answered easily. Large parking lot; bring cash or debit as they didn't seem to have credit card service. Will definitely be back soon.

Decent szechuan food. We were pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed each dish. The dumplings were only ok.

Szechuan Legend was okay. Honestly it's my feeling that there are less and less authentic Chinese restaurants in the GTA so my family tasked me with finding a new one for us to try. I chose Szechuan Legend based on the location and reviews. While I'm sure the dishes are authentically made, there were small things in each dish that we weren't used to. For example, the shredded pork with garlic sauce had napa cabbage as the main ingredient instead of bamboo strips, which is how we usually enjoy it. The sweet & sour pork was more sweet and did not have the usual orange colour we expect from the dish. The stir fried vegetables usually come with tofu puffs but didn't have anything but veggies at this restaurant. We did really like the fish fillet in chili sauce and don't have any complaints about the taste or size of it.Everything tasted good but we were just a bit disappointed at these tweaks that the restaurant seemed to make with these tried and true dishes that we have had numerous times. The price was also pretty high, we paid $95 (including tip) for 4 dishes and 3 bowls of rice. I'd say everything went up by 25%, as I can see the older menu through Yelp and Google and it seems everything we ordered increased by that much. I understand inflation, but it becomes less worth it to eat out especially when the dishes aren't made to your liking. We will probably keep searching for a restaurant that suits us.

We had the Home Made Noodles, DanDan noodles, cold noodles, Zhongs dumplings and lamb hotpot. The noodle dishes are really good. The lamb hotpot is good. The dumplings were not great but the sauce was very good. The decor is basic but comfortable. The service is prompt and good. Portions are generous.

Best of the best for authentic and tasty food! My wife loves the zhong dumplings and I always get chongqing spicy fried chicken (crispy, salty, spicy + nutty - its insanely good as a drinking snack or on rice for dinner, seriously) Love the food, love the staff. Owner here is friendly. She goes out of her way to make placing even a lowly takeout order a joy. There are tons of options in this plaza but this is one of our faves for sure.

The portions were HUGE, the flavours were great, and the price was very good. The fish with pickled mustard greens was especially fun to eat as it comes with its own little stove that keeps the pot warm as you eat.

Best Szechuan food we have had in the Toronto area so far! Ordered the spicy beef cold dish, spicy fish fillet and mapo tofu and they all taste amazing. Service is great as well. Will definitely come back!

I came across this restaurant through a recommendation made from another restaurant in Toronto. I was excited to try Szechuan food as I love the flavours and vibrancy of this type of cuisine. Here I got hot and sour soup, boiled pork and chive dumplings, Shanghai fried noodles, and sweet and sour pork. The hot and sour soup was really good. It wasn't too sour or spicy. It was nicely balanced. Their dumplings were good as well. I found them to be nice and soft with a good amount of stuffing in them. The fried Shanghai noodles were okay. It was pretty dry and I wish it had more spices in it. The sweet and sour pork was flavorless though. I wouldn't recommend this dish here. This place only takes debit or cash. They do not have a website, so there is no menu to look at online. It would be helpful if they did. Language is a bit of a barrier here. Best way to get around this is to write the dish number on the paper they provide. I cannot comment on the service as at this time (December 2021), they only do takeout.I am looking forward to coming back to this restaurant and try some of the other dishes other reviewers have recommended. This is a 3.5 out of 5, bumped it up to 4 stars on Google.
