I highly recommend Kawartha House Keeping. They clean a cottage that I frequently rent to large groups, and my guests always comment on how sparkling clean and prepared the place is. They are reliable, professional and a pleasure to work with. I wish I found them years ago!

For those this is TLDR: Poor quality cleaning, questionable invoicing practices, unprofessional and not worth anything near what they charge.Full Details:My wife and I have enlisted the services of Kawartha House Keepers on and off since April 2022. During that time, we found the owner Patty to be pleasant enough during the initial walkthrough and responsive while communicating back and forth.When it came to actual cleaning, we questioned the quality of the work performed from the start, because we were told that the amount charged was for two cleaners, and frankly the property was not left as clean as what we would have expected based on what we were being charged. The property didn’t even smell as though it had been cleaned following being serviced.Based on this, we sought alternative options for providers and found one which provides much better service at a better rate. The only reason we continued to use Kawartha House Keepers on a limited basis, is because our alternative provider has limited availability during the summer months.Fast forward to Sunday July 3, 2022, we had requested a turn-over clean between 12-4pm, as a family member had been up at the property for 5 days with some friends to celebrate an upcoming wedding. We were contacted by Patty advising that the one cleaner who attended site was overwhelmed and unwilling to do any work because she did not expect this type of cleaning. To be fair, the kitchen and laundry rooms were dirty, although nothing that two people should not have been able to handle. In response, we had the family member return to address the specific areas, but by that time the cleaner just left site and did not return, when we attempted to follow-up with Patty we got no response, although we did receive an invoice the following morning…. Not exactly sure for what?In the end my wife and I had to attend the property to complete the cleaning. After doing so, we have decided that we would rather do that every week than pay a cent more to this company, as they seem dishonest in their billing practices.

They did some spring cleaning for my summerhouse cottage. Now everything is perfect and ready. Nice happy service with a smile. I will call them again in the summer.

Horrible customer service, extremely over priced and terrible jobUPDATEPatty tries to say I wasn’t a customer of hers but she knows exactly who I am. She was extremely rude with me, over charged me and did not do a good job cleaning with my cleaning. Looked like no one was even there. I will not be using this service again and will recommend everyone I know in Lindsay and the Kawartha Lakes to stay away.

Stay away.Cost was exorbitant. Disturbing that they actually think what they did was worth what they charged. We have since found great efficient service. They should be ashamed.. .
