Wilkie's Bakery

Some locals recommended this bakery to us. It’s right on the main street of Orillia. It’s a very small establishment. We went there mainly for the Chelsea buns and the butter tarts. The Chelsea buns were very good and the butter tarts some of the best we have had. Unlike other bakeries, we like that here they sell the Chelsea buns by the full order or by the half order. Also you can mix and match your order of the butter tarts. We also tried their oatmeal cookie stuffed with date and it was decadent. We liked the baked goods here better than the ones we had at Mariposa!!!

Best bakery in Orillia! I love this place, the pizza is delicious & the service is great. Everything on the menu is to die for, Wilkies is definitely the best:) I recommend trying their butter tarts, they have to be the best I’ve ever had & their sandwiches are great

We really enjoyed the pecan butter tarts we got to go! We love the flaky tart crust. They have quite a few varieties to choose from. Definitely visit if you're in the search for the best butter tarts in the province!

This is a charming homey bakery in Orillia. They have a lot of space at this location. The butter tarts use a flakey dough and aren’t excessive. Their sausage rolls also use a flakey dough. Lastly this is the only bakery that I know of that makes chelsea buns! Tastes just like those in a church market. Definitely worth a visit.

Pizza slices at Willie's is the best homemade slices with fresh toppings! They do offer full slabs pizza and very reasonable prices.Other bakery sections are fantastic!I come here oftenThe owners do work hard to keep their bakery business running smoothly!Keep up great work

We have been coming here for years. Our favourites are the cheese bread and cookies, especially the oatmeal chocolate chip. If you're interested in trying the cheese bread, you won't regret it. The texture is perfect and they are generous with the cheese. Just know that it's not usually ready until mid-day. The staff are helpful and the variety of items is good.

Been a couple of times now. Purchased Chelsea Buns the first time , and having never had them before, I was amazed at how delicious they were.Visited again today and selected an Ontario Peach Pie, a Pumpkin Pie and two packages of cookies (Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip) and walked out for around $35.If today’s selections were as tasty as the Chelsea Buns from my initial visit, I am in for a treat.Thanks Wilkie’s!!!!

The butter tarts are amazing. Great flakiness, not mind-numbing sweet, really good flavour - they're so addicting.Got the plain ones to really enjoy the flavour and I highly recommend it.

First time at Wilkies and had high expectations as people rave about it. Went in with my work partner and ordered the panzarotti he ordered one as well as he said they were really good. We both got a Pure Leaf Tea as well.First off they gave us our orders backwards and I did not notice til a quarter way in. The dough was flat and old tasting had a fermented taste. The cheese was good (positive comment).Second we were drinking our Ice Tea and my work partner noticed his expired in January of this year (its March 2023 writing this). Mine on other hand was expired on Dec 19, 2022!!This is unacceptable…so disappointed as I like to support local but not at the risk of my health.
