Aburiyaki Sushi

A great sushi spot tucked away in the food court of the Shops on Yonge plaza. I have ordered on multiple occasions here and have always had a positive experience. They provide great quality of sushi at a fair price. Rolls which have tempura inside are still crunchy when eaten, so even fried ingredients are prepared relatively fresh compared to other sushi spots. They include torched sushi and torched rolls in most of their party trays, and they are made well! I would also recommend the double spicy salmon roll, which is also included in their medium sized (and up) roll trays.

We ordered through SkiptheDishes for two people. We ordered:Sushi A (24 pcs) - $33Aburi Sushi Deluxe (14 pcs) - $19These are the prices on their website. On Skip, it was $70 before tax. That is a 35% markup from their prices in store! That is completely a rip-off. I know that Aburiyaki Sushi is known for its cheap party trays so this was a shock to me. I understand adding a bit extra to cover the costs of the third party delivery app, but putting the 35% charge in the customer's pocket is not understandable. I definitely will not be ordering through Skip again - maybe I'll make the trek into the store but it's unlikely, as the plaza that the restaurant resides in is a nightmare to get in and out of. Also, these two items together were just enough for two people. It's not like we overordered which is causing the high prices. We were able to finish every single thing we ordered, plus the free 5 spring rolls that come with each Skip order.The sushi was good though, I did enjoy both the sushi and torched sushi. The variety was good and the portion of rice to fish was pleasant.

Beware of the spicy combo. It’s essentially greasy breadcrumb sushi with lots of spicy mayo to cover up the lack of fish. There was probably more micro plastics than fish in the entire 20 pieces.

Great quality for value; they have many sushi roll and nigiri, as well as udon+ sushi combos offered for around $10-$15. They also have party trays available. We stopped by and got lunch, and the rolls were done well (not overstuffed with rice, tightly rolled). We also like that the food court at Shops on Yonge is clean, quiet, and comfortable to sit and eat at.

Good value and the sushi rolls are delicious. The spicy salmon roll was really good - good ratio of rice and toppings; price was good for 20 roll set for $15.00. I will be back!

The best sushi with awesome prices, I always get the large trays as the value is so good. I love the variety of rolls they include, & the torched sushi is better than other places I’ve tried. Service is also always extremely fast, with 10-15 minutes minutes being the max you will be waiting for an order. Cute mall to sit down in as well!

We ordered the large roll tray and it was honestly such a great deal for the price! The value was amazing, the portions were massive, and the rolls were tasty. The only thing is we weren’t too impressed by the torched sushi (it was a little dry and we didn’t find it to be anything special). However, we loved all the other rolls. We would highly recommend!

Amazing sushi for the price.We got the medium tray sushi which includes torched sushi (a total win in my book). It had 60pcs and was $41, I had it with my boyfriend for dinner and we didn't finish it. 60pcs is a lot of sushi, we did have some leftover maybe about 9pcs.The quality is so good and fresh, and the lady was super nice.They have other party trays and if you're really up for it the 84pc sushi tray for $55 is also super worth it. If you've got a big appetite, it's essentially like AYCE sushi but at home :)I really enjoyed the sweet potato rolls, the spicy Salmon and anything torched. Was just such a nice addition to takeout sushi.10/10 will go again!

This place had great prices for their sushi and it was all so fresh and delicious! I definitely want to come back with more friends and order their party tray which has a lot of different pieces of sushi for a really good price!

This food court can’t stop amaze me!Aburiyaki Sushi is affordable and very tasty! The rolls are very intact, unlike other restaurant that will fall apart. The proportion are great! I’ll definitely comeback again!
